Bears seal 14th

LEETONIA — Leetonia captured its 14th win of the season by downing Campbell Memorial, 51-33, Wednesday.

Samantha Schneider powered the Bears with 13 points and 13 rebounds, both game highs. Anna Buffone totaled 11 points, four steals and three assists and Taran Ferry had seven points and three assists.

Leetonia wraps up the regular season with a 14-8 record.

For Campbell, India Armour-Clark scored points and Leila Kamal grabbed nine rebounds.

There was no junior varsity game.

Salem 43, Howland 31

SALEM — Salem forced 19 turnovers and limited Howland to single digits in three quarters in a 43-31 girls basketball win on Wednesday.

Casey Johnson’s 14 points led the way for Salem. Jaden Hamilton added 11 points.

Salem hosts Boardman today to wrap up the regular season.

Salem’s jayvee team won 24-23 to improve to 20-1. Jenna McClish’s clutch three sealed the win for Salem. Abby Perry had 12 points.

Oak Glen 49, East Liverpool 45

EAST LIVERPOOL — A fast start propelled Oak Glen to a 49-45 win over East Liverpool on Wednesday in girls basketball action at Potter Fieldhouse.

The Golden Bears outscored the Potters by nine in the first quarter to take an early advantage and then held off a comeback the rest of the way.

Reese Enochs led the winners with 21 points.

Emma Ludwig hit for 17 points for the Potters, while Mikayla Reed chipped in 13.

East Liverpool hosts Claymont on Wednesday in a Div. II sectional contest.

Oak Glen hosts Philip Barbour on Saturday.

COLUMBIANA — Brookfield downed Heartland 51-30 on Wednesday in girls basketball action.

Jeanna Morgan had 10 points for the Lions. Madi Matthews and Sydney Ogden had nine points each.

MINERVA — Minerva bounced East Canton 51-31 on Wednesday in regular season girls basketball action.

Maddie Foutz had 16 points for the winners. Coletta Miller added 11 rebounds.

Minerva won the two-quarter jayvee game, 21-13.

Minerva will play at Steubenville on Saturday in a Div. II sectional opener.
