Potter boys take second
ST. CLAIRSVILLE–The East Liverpool boys bowling team posted a strong runner-up finish Monday at the Buckeye 8 Championships at St. Clair Lanes.
The Potters finished with a total of 3,634. Alfred Todd finished fourth in the individual tournament with a series of 653. Paxton Grimes was sixth with a 602, while Logan Simms was ninth with a 567.
Beaver Local’s boys team was fourth with 3,124.
The East Liverpool girls team finished third with a total of 2,565. Allison Danver took home a sixth-place finish with a 471 series. Delaney Riggle was ninth with a 449.
Beaver Local’s girls were sixth (2,416).
Harrison Central won both the boys and girls team and individual titles. The Harrison Central boys team finished with a total of 3,888 led by individual champion Logan Cologie with a 723 series.
The Huskie girls team was led by individual champion Aleyna Runevitch who bowled a 648 series.
Wellsville wins again
EAST LIVERPOOL — Wellsivlle’s bowling team topped Lowellville 1,858-1,499 on Monday at Walnut Lanes.
Wellsville (9-3) was led by Kaylee Crow’s 212 high-game and 330 series. Jonathan Walker had a 183 high-game and a 348 series.
