Hunter, Lanzer power Sebring

SEBRING — Jake Hunter had 26 points and Gabe Lanzer added 24 more as Sebring scorched Southington 107-40 on Saturday in boys basketball action.

Sebring is 4-0.

Hunter added 10 steals. Connor Shepherd added 16 points and six assists. Carson Rouse had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Sebring won the jayvee portion, 73-25.

The Trojans open league play on Friday at Mineral Ridge.

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — East Palestine went 0 for 2 during its Pennsylvania swing after a 76-40 loss to Ellwood City on Saturday at the Mohawk Tip-off Tournament.

East Palestine fell to 0-3.

Jonathan Bertovich had 19 points to power the Bulldogs, while Brandon Turcola had 11 points.

East Palestine will be at Leetonia on Friday.

No jayvee game was played.
