Twin Springs has seen its last days

GUILFORD LAKE — Twin Springs Golf Course, a fixture in the area since 1962, is done.

The rolling 78-acre, nine-hole course was sold Saturday in five parcels for $522,511 by Kiko Auctioneers. The equipment also was auctioned in the complete liquidation.

Listed are the five parcels along Route 172 and how much they brought:

• $127,380 — 3.5 acres with clubhouse, garage and two apartments.

• $127,694 — 21.3 acres and half wooded.

• $104,313 — 17.4 acres with maintenance building, lake and pond, two-thirds wooded.

• $108,674 — 24.8 acres with timber and four greens.

• $54,450 — 11 acres with 250-foot frontage.
