Perry’s on patrol for Quakers

COLUMBIANA — Salem’s Abby Perry was involved in all three goals as the Quakers earned a 3-0 win over Crestview on Monday in girls soccer action.

Perry scored the opening goal off an assist from Mikaylynn Murphy. She added another in the second half. The Quakers third goal was created after Perry sent a ball at the Rebel goalie that was mishandled and hit into the net by a Rebel defender.

Salem is 3-8-1 and has won two straight. Crestview is 4-6.

Sam Moore had two saves in goal for the Quakers who earned their first clean sheet of the season.

Salem hosts Carrollton on Thursday night at Sebo Stadium.

United 2, Bristol 0

BRISTOLVILLE–The United boys soccer team stayed unbeaten with a 2-0 victory over Bristol Monday.

Zach Jewell and Kade Blake each scored for the Eagles off assists from Ethan Stout and Dominic DiGiacomo. Ethan McDevitt had five saves in goal.

United is at East Palestine Wednesday.

East Palestine 7, Wellsville 0

EAST PALESTINE — Josh Welch had two goals and two assists, while Schaelee Guy had two goals as East Palestine bested Wellsville 7-0 on Monday.

Adding goals for the Bulldogs were Weston Jones, Caden Rummel and Brandon Turcola. Turcola, Blaze Egan and Nic Jaskola had assists.

Matt Garcia had three saves for East Palestine.

Cameron Carlevale had 18 saves for the Tigers.

East Palestine is 8-3-1 overall and 4-2 in EOAC

East Palestine hosts United on Wednesday.

Springfield 11, Columbiana 1

NEW MIDDLETOWN–The unbeaten Springfield girls soccer team rolled over Columbiana 11-1 on Monday.

The Tigers improve to 11-0, the Clippers fall to 1-8.

Rogan Stryffeler scored the lone goal for Columbiana, assisted by Grace Hammond. Ava Bryant had six saves in goal.

Kylee Kosek powered the Tigers with five goals, including her 100th career goal.
