Clippers, Eagles collect victories

LOWELLVILLE — Columbiana’s volleyball team moved to 6-3 with a 25-20, 25-20, 25-16 over Lowellville on Monday.

For the Clippers, Tori Long had eight kills, 11 digs and two aces, Madison Moser had seven kills and five points and Grace Witmer had 15 points, two aces, 14 assists and 18 digs.

Maci Linhart had 22 digs, four points and an ace. Marissa Makosky had seven points, four aces, three kills and 10 assists.

Columbiana’s freshman won 26-24, 23-25, 25-11. Ashlyn Stalnaker had 10 points and six aces for the Clippers.

Columbiana is at United today.

United 3, East Canton 0

EAST CANTON — United rolled over East Canton, 25-15, 25-12, 25-6, Monday.

The Eagles were led by Savannah Burton with eight kills, one block and five points; Brooke Smith nine kills and five points; Tori Tschappatt 11 points, seven aces and seven kills; Lauren Delvichio 18 assists; and Haley Dees 14 assists.

United, which improves to 3-5, will host Columbiana today.

The Eagles also won the junior varsity match, 19-25, 27-25, 25-15.

Topping United were Olivia Grubb with 15 points, 26 sets and 10 assists; Taylor Cope three blocks, four kills and 14 points; and Stefani Thompson 15 points and six digs.

Oak Glen 3, Canfield 1

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Oak Glen’s volleyball team got 24 kills, four aces, seven digs and three blocks from Skye Stokes in a 12-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-14 win over Canfield on Monday.

Hannah Rogers had 11 kills, two aces and six digs. Alayna Kranis had four kills and seven points. Jaedyn Hissam had 29 assists.

Oak Glen is 7-0 and travels to Madonna Thursday.
