Seven is lucky at Cedar Hills

GLENMOOR — Larry Mills of Wellsville didn’t let the weatherman keep him away from his appointed rounds at the Cedar Hills Golf Course.

Despite all the gloom and doom forecasts, Mills on Sunday spent a few hours at one of his favorite spots on earth — and it’s a good thing he did.

Mills aced the 170-yard seventh hole at Cedar Hills. He used a 3-wood.

Mills, who is in his 70s, has had a few aces in his golfing career. He is one of the regulars at the Glenmoor course.

He was playing with Jerry Flesch, Brad Elliott and Rob Kelly.

Second ace for Crawford

BELOIT–Rob Crawford of Salem recorded his second hole-in-one Sunday at Westville Lake. Crawford used a seven-iron to ace the 130-yard par-three sixth hole. His shot was witnessed by Mark Daniel and his wife Diana Daniel, both of Salem.
