WELLSVILLE - The Beavers are on a streak.
For the first time this season, Beaver Local has won two consecutive games after defeating Wellsville, 40-29, on Tuesday.
The Beavers (3-14) had lost 12 straight before their two recent wins.

"I'm very happy for the kids," Beaver Local coach J.R. Walker said. "Anytime you beat a rival, that's a big plus. The kids have been working really hard and it's nice to see some smiles on their faces.
"We're sharing the ball much better and looking for each other. They're really playing team basketball. We just have to make sure we get more consistency."
The Beavers opened up a 14-6 lead after one quarter of play and went into the half with a 15-point advantage.
Sierra Wright led Beaver Local with eight points, while Sam Bishop and Maranda Kiddey both finished with seven points.
For Wellsville, Brittany Clendenning led with nine points, while Shartece Taylor added seven points. Only five Tigers scored in the game compared to nine players for the Beavers.
In junior varsity action, Wellsville won, 36-25. Ashley Bennett paced the Tigers with 15 points, while Jade Farve and Shawna Talbott both finished with eight for Beaver Local.
Wellsville will host Columbiana on Thursday, while Beaver Local will host Struthers.
"We'll see what we're made of on Thursday," Walker said. "We've got Struthers coming in and they're a powerhouse."
