Fullum powers Clippers

COLUMBIANA - Khylea Fullum scored 23 points, while Baylie Mook added 13 points to see Columbiana to a 68-24 victory over Sebring in an Inter-Tri County League lower tier battle on Thursday.

The Clippers (14-1, 8-1) led 18-6 after a quarter and 43-8 at haltime.

Columbiana, who is in second place in the ITCL lower tier behind Lowellville, is at Wellsville next Thursday.

Jackson-Milton 43, Crestview 40

COLUMBIANA - Crestview's path toward an Inter-Tri County League upper tier title got a lot harder after a 43-40 loss to Jackson-Milton on Thursday.

The Rebels fell to 12-5 and 7-2 in the league. United leads the league with a 9-0 record.

Rebecca Jones led the Bluejays (9-5, 5-4) with 18 points.

Ashley Harrison had 18 points for Crestview. Morgan Newbauer had 10 points, nine rebounds and three steals.

Crestview won the jayvee portion 36-27. Bri Cope had 26 points for Crestview.

Beaver Local 52, Niles 33

CALCUTTA -Beaver Local won its second game of the season with a 52-33 victory over Niles on Thursday.

Courtney Ricciardi had 12 points to lead the Beavers, 2-14. Dana Talbott added eight points. Tannar Dolhun added 10 points.

Niles won the jayvee game 22-11. The two teams only played a half because Niles did not have enough players.

Beaver Local is at Wellsville on Tuesday.

South Range 56, Springfield 42

GREENFORD - Coupled with a Crestview loss on Thursday, the South Range girls basketball team moved into a second-place ITCL upper tier tie with a 56-42 win over Springfield on Thursday.

The Raiders are 8-6 amd 7-2. Lexi Naples had 11 points and four rebounds to lead the winners. Starla Sharp added eight points and six rebounds.

Baylee Felger and Callie Ford had 10 points each for the Tigers.

South Range won the jayvee game 53-12. Morgan Czopur and Kelsey Phillips had 12 points each for the Raiders.

South Range hosts Mineral Ridge next Thursday.
