Renee Kirby marries Benjamin Swallow

YOUNGSTOWN - Renee Kirby and Benjamin Swallow exchanged wedding vows at 2:30 p.m. May 19, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Youngstown.

The bride is the daughter of David and Sharon Kirby, Tiffin.

The groom is the son of Larry and Carol Swallow, Salem.

Rev. Ronald Spore was the officiant during the double-ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory gown with a ruched, fitted bodice, sweetheart neckline, and ruffled organza swirl skirt with ivory feathers. She wore a feather broach in her hair attached to a birdcage veil. She carried a bouquet of light pink peonies, ivory roses, hypericum berries accented with ivory feathers.

Serving as matron of honor in a charcoal gray chiffon dress was Laura Sebulsky, Lebanon, sister of the bride. In matching gowns of various design were bridesmaids Nicole Fruth, Colombia, S.C.; Kelly Priem, Mason; Crystal Cline, Hartville; and Carrie Babitsky, Hudson, sister of the groom. Flower girls were Katie Babitksy, Hudson, niece of the groom; Emma and Alivia Kirby, Tiffin; and Mara Sebulsky, Lebanon, all nieces of the bride.

Bobby Swallow, Cranberry Township, Pa., brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Adam Biery, Beaufort, S.C; Craig Vavrock, Ravenna; Jerrod Grove, Jeff Grove, both of Akron; Ethan Gigler, Edgewater, N.J.; J.F. Babitsky, Hudson, brother-in-law of the groom; Craig Kirby, Tiffin, brother of the bride; and Rick Sebulsky, Lebanon, brother-in-law of the bride. Jackson and Mason Babitsky, Hudson, nephews of the groom, were ring bearers.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Columbian High School in Tiffin. She is also a 2005 graduate of Ohio University and a 2009 graduate of Kent State University with a doctorate degree in audiology. She is employed by Phonak as a territory sales manager/audiologist.

The groom graduated in 1999 from West Branch High School and in 2004 from Geneva College. He is employed by PNC's Private Client Group as an assistant vice president.

A reception followed at The Links at Firestone Farms, Columbiana.

The rehearsal dinner was held at Steamers Stonewall Tavern, North Lima.

Following a honeymoon to Sandals, St. Lucia, the couple resides in Poland.
