Several weeks ago, almost 20 teams of men, women and children from the Winona Friends Church volunteered their time and effort to various agencies, health care organizations and communities. All in the name of making things better for the many individuals who benefit from the work of these organizations.
The Fleming House, located in Lisbon, was the recipient of such help and support. More than 30 individuals, including children all pitched in to help brighten and improve the house that supports women and their children.
Painting, carpentry and landscaping projects were undertaken and completed that morning. The house is now "wearing" a fresh and renewed look as we are celebrating its 10th anniversary.
We commend Pastor Rusty Savage and his many parishioners for the dedication and enthusiasm they have shown us and numerous others over the years.
