Thornton Flemming ‘Hez’ Harn III
1933-2025
NEGLEY — Thornton Flemming “Hez” Harn III, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away November 12, 2025, at his home with family by his side.
Hez was born November 12, 1933, in South Beaver, Pa., son of the late Thornton F. Harn II, and Gladys Hays Harn.
He was a veteran of the US Army and worked for a number of years for NRM in Columbiana and Leetonia as a drill press operator prior to retirement. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, mowing the lawn and camping, but most especially loved spending time with his family.
Hez is survived by his wife of 70 years, Margaret “Peggy” (Boyles) Harn; six children, Gregory (Angela) Harn, Peggy (Douglas) Haggerty, Craig (Terri) Harn, Brenda (Jeffrey) Moore, Robin Hughes and Patsy (Bradley) Weaver; a sister, Wyeonna Price; 20 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Douglas Haggerty, a grandson, Charles Hughes III, great-grandson, Jeremy Almy and two brothers, John and Bob Harn.
A service will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday at Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine with Doug Barber officiating. The family will receive friends Monday prior to services from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
