William F. Rupnik
1932-2023
EAST PALESTINE — William F. Rupnik, 90, of East Palestine, Ohio formerly of Aliquippa went home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2023.
He was born June 21, 1932 in Aliquippa and was the son of the late John and Jennie (Marolt) Rupnik . In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda L. (Brookman) Rupnik, a cherished daughter, Diane Rupnik and two brothers: Andy Rupnik, and Johnny Rupnik who died fighting for our freedom in World War II.
William was a member of St. Jude, Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Parish, East Palestine, Ohio.
He honorably served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
William retired from LTV Steelworks having worked in the Tin Mill. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting.
His greatest joy was spending time with his loving family who survives him: a devoted daughter and son-in-law: Suzanne and Joe Pavkovic
Two special granddaughters: Jennie and Justin Hendrickson and Juli Jana Pavkovic. He is also survived by many loving family members in Slovenia, friends from Our Lady of Lourdes Church, and friends within his community.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa, Pa. 15001, 724-375-0496. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Jude, Our Lady of Lourdes Church East Palestine Ohio.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Beaver County Special Unit will provide military honors at the cemetery.
