Lucille B. Blosco

EAST PALESTINE — Lucille B. Blosco, 94, passed away September 23, 2021, at the Christian House in East Palestine.

Lucille was born March 20, 1927, in Youngstown, OH, daughter of the late Martin and Emma Smotrilla Dupey.

She has resided in East Palestine most of her adult life, having been raised in Poland and a graduate of Poland Seminary High School. Lucille was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in East Palestine. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, and home decorating.

Lucille is survived by her husband of 74 years, John Blosco, Jr.; a son, John M. (Pamela) Blosco of Toronto, OH; a daughter, Susan (Raymond) Galvin of Fairview Park, OH; four grandchildren, John, Michael and Matthew Blosco and Erin Lagasca; six great grandchildren and a sister, Eleanor Carson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edward Dupay.

The family will receive friends from 8:45-9:45 AM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 200 E. Main St. East Palestine. A private burial will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the extraordinary, outstanding caregivers at Christian House. They lovingly cared for their mother like she was one of their own with kindness and compassion. They ask that memorial contributions be made in Lucille’s name to the Christian House at 82 Garfield, East Palestine, OH 44413.

The family requests that masks be worn, and social distancing be observed to help keep everyone safe.
