Bonnie L. Underwood

EAST LIVERPOOL — Bonnie L. Underwood, 84, of East Liverpool, Ohio went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 after a lengthy illness. Bonnie was born on May 10, 1937 in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late John R. and Visa E. (Postalwaite) Stover. Bonnie lived in the area her entire life.

Bonnie was employed for 15 years by Beaver Local Schools as a bus driver before retiring in 1992. She was a devoted member of Madison Trinity Church of West Point since 1972.

Left behind to cherish her memory are: her husband of 63 years, Darwin Underwood, whom she married on July 26, 1958; her children: Rexford (Sarah) Underwood, of Lisbon, Ohio and Janet (Bill) Dunlap, of Calcutta. She also leaves behind three grandchildren who were the love of her life: Shane Dunlap, of Pittsburgh, Sarena Underwood, of Lisbon, and Grant Underwood, also of Lisbon.

Along with her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by: her grandson, Kaleb D. Underwood; four brothers: Wiliam Stover, Robert Stover, John Stover, and Raymond Stover; and her three sisters: Anna Lee Swiger, Doris Jean Robinson, and Arzella Mosser.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists – Martin Chapel in Calcutta. The funeral will take place on Friday at 1 p.m., with Pastor David Frye from Madison Trinity Church officiating. Visitation will also be held on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service.

In connection to the COVID-19 public health crisis, the family requests masks be worn and social distancing be observed.
