Preston ‘Pete’ Test

NEGLEY — Preston P. “Pete” Test, 58, of Negley, formerly of Chestnut Hill, died Feb. 9, 2020 after a battle with lymphoma.

Born May 8, 1961, he was the son of Geneva P. Test and Alfred L. Test Jr. of Blue Bell, Pa.

His career began as a traffic reporter in the early days of Shadow Traffic in the Philadelphia market. He moved on to be a pilot for Ransom Airlines, Pan Am Express, US Air, and ultimately advanced to the rank of captain at American Airlines flying domestic and international routes.

Survivors include his wife, Kim; a daughter, Olivia; a son, Alden; a sister, Tina Test of Fort Washington, Pa., and three brothers, Fred (Linda) of Dresher, Pa., Ted (Donna) of Stonington, Conn., and Bill (Laura) of Fairport, N.Y.

Dr. Robert Sylvies will celebrate Pete’s life at 4 p.m. Feb. 22 at the East Liverpool First Church of the Nazarene. Friends may call at the church three hours prior to the service.
