Howard Grove

CANFIELD — Howard L. Grove, 79, of Canfield, formerly of East Liverpool, died suddenly Friday morning, Dec. 13, 2019 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman.

Born in Williamsburg, Pa., on July 6, 1940, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Mock Grove.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, he worked many years as a construction electrician with the IBEW. Following his retirement, he was a bus driver for the East Liverpool City School District. He was a member of the Oakland Free Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Estel Grove; two sons, Thomas Grove of Darlington, Pa., and Charles (Brooks) Grove of Philadelphia; a daughter, Kristine (Keith) Hayden of Congers, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Angela (Kevin) Steed of Berlin Center; a stepson, Frank (Cheryl) Briceland of Travelers Rest, S.C.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lois Hatchell of Florence, S.C.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Ross, and two brothers, Bill and John Grove.

Calling hours are 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the Rev. Carol Forsythe will conduct services at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial with military honors will be at Riverview Cemetery.
