Troy Galloway, Sr.

Troy E Galloway Sr., of Enon Valley, Pa., passed away on the evening of November 27, 2019 at his home with his wife by his side. He was 78.

Troy was born in the small town of Dacusville, South Carolina in Pickens County on March 22, 1941, the son of the late Troy P. and Sarah O. Hammett Galloway, and was one of six children.

He graduated from State High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was honorably discharged in 1965. He married the former L. Ida McFarland on November 24, 1985. He was a member of the Mt. Calvary Community Church in East Palestine, Ohio.

Troy had worked for many area steel manufacturing facilities as an electrical maintenance-man. He was also a former member of the Teamsters. Troy enjoyed visiting and socializing and had an eye for things of beauty; he had a passion for hunting and fishing and just enjoyed the gifts that God provided us all.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Galloway at home; son, Mr. Troy Galloway of Cleveland Ohio; sister Mrs. Edna Vaughn and brother Mr. Charles Galloway of Pickens, South Carolina.

Troy was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters Nellie, Dorothy and Linda.

Troy’s final wishes were to go home so, in honoring this, Troy will be laid to rest with his parents in Pickens County, South Carolina.

Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Terry A. Cunningham Funeral Home.
