Lisbon
— A representative of the Lisbon Nazarene Church, North Market Street, reported at 11:17 a.m. Wednesday that someone has been getting into the clothing bins in the parking lot at night and sleeping in them. Security cameras show a person getting into the bins usually after 11 p.m. The spokesman said they’re tearing the clothing bags apart and he requested an extra watch of the back parking lot.
— An officer was dispatched at 3:14 p.m. Oct. 7 to the 300 block of East Chestnut Street for an ongoing juvenile matter. The officer met with the parents of the parties involved and requested they tell the juveniles to stay away from the other involved parties.
— An active security alarm was reported at 9:50 p.m. Oct. 5 at the VFW on East Lincoln Way, but doors and windows were found secure with no visible signs of forced entry or tampering.
— A reckless operator was reported at 5:59 p.m. Oct. 5 in the area of West Lincoln Way and North Beaver Street, but the vehicle was not found.
— Officers were dispatched to Dickey Drive for an alarm drop at the Columbiana County Board of Elections at 4:20 p.m. Oct. 5, but a key holder was contacted and advised everything was ok.
— A medical was reported at 3:55 p.m. Oct. 5 on South Lincoln Avenue, with police standing by until EMS arrived.
— Police were called at 3:55 a.m. Oct. 5 to Days Inn, state Route 154, for a male walking around in and out of the hotel looking for someone. The caller locked the male out of the hotel and he kept trying to get back inside. He was believed to be on drugs. When an officer arrived, he was told the male left in a white car.
— Officers responded at 11:41 a.m. Oct. 2 to East Lincoln Way for one to be removed. The caller met them outside and said his neighbor had been invited into his apartment, but he wanted him to leave because he was smoking and his mother would not like that. The neighbor agreed to leave.
— A man called at 11:02 a.m. Oct. 2 to report he moved out of a home on East Washington Street, Lisbon, but his wife still lives there and gave items to his new girlfriend. They have since broken up and he said the ex-girlfriend is refusing to give him his items. He said she lives in Salem and he’s gone there several times to get the items, but she won’t give them to him. He was told to call Salem police.
— An officer was dispatched at 1:51 p.m. Oct. 1 to Applegrove apartments on Saltwell Road for a man trespassing on the property. People said he took off up Saltwell Road, but the office did not find him.
Salem
— Officers responded to the area of Franklin Avenue and Aetna Street at 4:50 p.m. Thursday for a reported dispute. The caller advised two adults were yelling at a juvenile. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the source of the complaint.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of Woodland Avenue at 3:03 p.m. Thursday for a reported juvenile problem. It was determined that the juvenile had gotten angry over an issue concerning discipline. Officers spoke with the juvenile, advising them of the consequences if their actions continued.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 2:50 p.m. Thursday for a report of two dogs running at large. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the animals in question.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Second Street at 12:25 p.m. Thursday for a report of criminal damage. The caller advised that sometime the prior evening an unknown person had carved two names into the plastic slide on the playground. The caller was advised a report would be on file.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 11:25 a.m. Thursday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that three bottles of her medication were missing but nobody had been in her apartment to take them and they wanted a report on file.
— Officers responded to the 1600 block of Fairview Avenue at 10:50 a.m. Thursday for a report of an ambulance needed. Officers spoke with the person in question who was subsequently transported to the ER by ambulance.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 8:37 a.m. Thursday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the resident, who advised the person no longer lived at the residence.
