County Sheriff

— Deputies were called at 11:58 p.m. Monday to an alarm drop at the Dollar General store, U.S. Route 30, Hanover Township, but found all doors and windows secure at ground level.

— A breaking and entering was reported at 7:02 p.m. Saturday at a property on Hammond School Road, Madison Township.

Wellsville

— Officers received a phone call on Aug. 21 at 3:56 p.m. from a male reporting that his PayPal credit card had been used to purchase multiple items from Family Dollar, Peps Carry-out and Tri-County Cab. Officers requested he come in and fill out a report.

— Officers were dispatched on Aug. 22 at 1:06 a.m. to the 500 block of Main Street for a male with no shirt on who had broken a window at the Eve Liberty Theater. When officers arrived, the male put down the cross he was holding and admitted to officers that he broke the window, and he placed his hands behind his back. The male was unable to tell officers where he lived, the day of the week or who the president is. The male’s grandmother came to the station looking for her grandson and told officers he was off his meds and having a psychotic episode. The male was released to his grandmother for medical attention, and she requested an ambulance to transport him to the hospital. She was told to notify officers when he was out of the hospital for his charges or a warrant would be issued.

— Officer responded on Aug. 22 at 6:26 p.m. to Independence Square for an argument over feeding stray cats. Officers advised the parties involved not to speak to each other and told the one party to quit feeding the cats.

— Patrolmen were dispatched on Aug. 23 at 8:53 p.m. to the 800 block of Riverside Avenue for a burglary call. The resident told officers someone entered her home through an unlocked door and stole a Vizio Television, an Element Television with JBL surround sound system and spare key to a Ram pick-up truck. The truck was later reported stolen from the couple’s home in East Liverpool.

— An officer was dispatched on Aug. 26 at 9:44 a.m. to an 11th Street address to speak with a male who wanted to report someone opening a credit card in his name and using it in Boardman at a Best Buy to purchase a laptop for $1,063.10. The male contacted Best Buy and opened a fraud case through the store.

— Officers were dispatched on Aug. 30 at 9:09 p.m. to the first lot of Independence Square for a neighborhood dispute. Statements were taken from juveniles.

— Officers received a call from the owner of the Roadhouse on Sept. 3 at 2:52 p.m. to report someone trying to break in overnight. Officers arrived and made contact with the owner who said he left at 1:30 a.m., and when he returned at 10 a.m., he noticed the side door pried open.

Liverpool Township

— An officer on Sept. 1 conducted at traffic stop at 7:55 a.m. on Densmore Avenue for a vehicle failing to stop at a red light in a school zone. Carissa Grady, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for the red violation in a school zone and released with a court date.

— Officers responded to a criminal damaging call in the 400 block of Azalea Avenue on Sept. 1 at 10:58 a.m. Shannon Mecum, 33, address not provided, was arrested and charged with criminal mischief after admitting to slashing the tire on her boyfriend’s car. She was taken to jail to wait for her court appearance.

— An officer conducted a traffic stop on Parkway Boulevard on Sept 1 at 9:15 p.m. after observing the vehicle go left of center twice. The driver, identified as Jordyn Price, 25, address not provided, and the passenger, Treyven Michael, 23, address not provided, were arrested and charged for lying about firearms in the vehicle. Both received two counts of carrying concealed weapons without notifying law enforcement and one count each of drug paraphernalia after a K-9 officer from St. Clair Township Police Department gave a positive alert on the vehicle. Officers found two loaded firearms, a knife, a pill bottle with white powder, a used meth pipe, a box containing a piece of glass with white residue lines, a baggie containing suspected crystal meth, a scale with white residue, two torch lighters, push rods and a glass meth pipe. Suspected drugs were sent to BCI for testing. The car was towed by First Class Towing.

— An officer conducted a traffic stop on Marcum Street on Sept 2 at 10:22 a.m. for a vehicle displaying an expired validation sticker. Ashley Clark, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for expired plates and released with a court date.

— An officer conducted a traffic stop on Armstrong Lane on Sept. 2 at 10:54 a.m. for a vehicle clocked at 46 mph in a 30 mph zone. Nichole Cooper, age and address not provided, was cited for speed and released with a court date.

Salem

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West Pershing Street at 2:28 p.m. Monday to deliver a message to a resident for St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Jefferson Avenue at 11:22 a.m. Monday for a neighbor complaint. The caller advised that her neighbor continues to yell at her and was screaming profanities through her door over her dog being outside barking. The caller advised that he yells at her grandson while he is playing in the yard and that she did not want him in her yard. Officers attempted to speak with the neighbor but were unable to. The caller was advised to contact officers immediately if they returned.

— Officers responded to the area of Ridgewood Drive and Park Avenue at 9:27 p.m. Monday for a report of a vehicle parked on the roadway in the construction zone. Officers were able to locate the owner of the vehicle, who moved it without issue.

— Robert Charlton, 76, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash in the 2200 block of East State Street at 11:51 a.m. Wednesday in which he was westbound and failed to stop for traffic at a red light, striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Sharon Morris, 70, Salem. No injuries were reported.

— An officer at 11:41 a.m. Wednesday conducted a well-being check on a female juvenile in the 500 block of Continental Drive who did not report to school that day, but was unable to make contact at the residence.

— Officers responded to a 2800 block East State Street business at 7:04 p.m. Tuesday in reference to someone attempting to shoplift multiple items by not scanning them. The person in question, who was not identified, admitted to not scanning the items. A summons will issued for the person.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Newgarden Avenue at 5:19 p.m. Tuesday in reference to an unwanted person. Upon officers’ arrival, the man was already gathering his belongings and said he was leaving.

— Officers responded to a 200 block North Cunningham Road business at 1:34 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a man coming into the business every day to use the facilities. An employee said the man became upset when she told him the facilities were not for public use. The man left before officers arrived and the employee was told to call the station if he returned.

— Officers spoke with a woman on station at 12:22 p.m. Tuesday who reported she had been involved in a crash earlier in the day in which another driver ran a red light, striking her vehicle, then provided her with contact information, but no insurance information. Officers attempted to contact the phone number the other driver provided without success.

— An officer responded to the 700 block of Summit Street at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a reckless driver. The officer spoke with the driver at a residence who admitted to driving recklessly. The driver was issued a warning.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Bank Street at 11:09 a.m. Tuesday where the resident reported a woman trespassing on his property. Officers found that the woman was on a neighboring property, not the complainant’s. The woman gathered her belongings and left the area.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Franklin Avenue at 9:24 a.m. Tuesday to assist the drug task force with a search warrant and stood by until no longer needed.

— Emilio Quinones, 52, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was charged with fourth-degree felony domestic violence and obstruction after officers responded to his home at 7:34 a.m. Tuesday where he allegedly struck and choked a female victim, causing visible injuries to her neck and head. He also allegedly refused to listen to officers’ commands.
