Lisbon

— A officer spoke at 9:10 p.m. Sept. 9 with a woman from West Washington Street regarding a civil no contact order. The person was told to contact the courts Monday morning regarding the issue.

— Officers at 6:56 p.m. Sept. 8 responded to Dickey Drive to set up a landing zone for a life flight from a two-vehicle accident at state Route 172 and U.S. Route 30 and remained until no longer needed.

— Officers responded at 5:41 p.m. Sept. 8 to East Lincoln Way in front of Smith Oil for a report of a man driving a lawn mower in the middle of the road. Officers located the lawn mower at a residence on West Lincoln Way with two males standing by. They were told to keep the lawn mower off of the road.

— An officer was notified of a trash complaint on state Route 154 at 1:05 p.m. Sept. 8 and responded but no one was there. The next day, the resident called and she was told about the trash complaint, but that the officer had driven by and it appeared much of the trash had been removed. She said due to some family issues, the trash had not been picked up, but they would make sure it remained clean.

— Officers were dispatched to Lisbon high school at 9:16 p.m. Sept. 5 to stand by with faculty while a parent was escorted off of the premises.

Perry Township

— Officers on patrol at 10:39 p.m. Thursday identified a man with an active warrant for his arrest at a business in the 1800 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Officers took the man, Todd Ritche, 46, Salem, into custody and transported him to the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office. Officers also conducted a search of a vehicle owned by Tara Glista, 38, Salem, locating multiple unmarked pill containers. Further charges are pending lab results.

— Officers on patrol located a vehicle at Cry Baby Bridge at 7:06 p.m. Thursday. Officers warned all occupants of the vehicle for criminal trespass.

— Carl Houdyshell, 56, Salem, was cited for unsecure loads on vehicles after a glass pane from his trailer broke at the intersection of Georgetown Road near Prospect Street at 6:24 p.m. Thursday.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 9:43 p.m. Wednesday for a report of harassment involving threats. Officers attempted contact with the caller several times but were unable to speak with them.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of East Ninth Street at 8:51 p.m. Wednesday to assist Salem officers with a possible intruder. Officers stood by while the residence was checked until it was determined nobody was in the residence.

— Officers responded to the 1700 block of Harding Avenue at 5:06 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a disturbance. Officers spoke with the residents who advised he had a verbal disagreement with his landlord. Officers advised to report anything else that may escalate.

— Austin Beckett, 24, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after his southeast bound vehicle on state Route 45 struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Brayden Mastronarde, 18, Lisbon at 4:06 p.m. Tuesday. No injuries were reported.

— Officers responded to the 1800 block of Allen Drive at 10:59 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a woman who took more than the recommended dosage of medication. Officers spoke with the woman and requested EMT respond for treatment. EMT transported the woman to the Salem Regional Medical Center.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Pembrook Drive at 12:38 a.m. Tuesday for a reported water line break. When officers arrived, they were advised that water was coming through the wall of a residence. The water main was shut off and the homeowner was advised the maintenance crew would fix it the next day.

— Officers responded to the 1600 block of Goshen Road at 10:28 p.m. Monday for a report of a truck that ran off the road and got stuck in a ditch. Officers spoke with the driver, Matthew Close, 51, Salem, who advised that a deer had run out in front of him causing him to swerve into the ditch. During the investigation officers noted the smell of alcohol from Close and his vehicle and conducted field sobriety tests, concluding close to be under the influence of alcohol. Close was taken into custody for OVI and transported to the Salem station for further testing.

— Officers responded to the 2000 block of Goshen Road at 6:43 p.m. Monday to assist Salem officers with speaking to a juvenile. Officers stood by until no longer needed.

— Diana Rozeski, 67, Lisbon, was cited for failure to yield after her vehicle struck a vehicle driven southbound on South Lincoln Avenue by Fred Drotleff, 66, Salem, at 3:19 p.m. Monday. No injuries were reported.
