Salem
— Officers observed a woman stumble into the roadway multiple times on West State Street at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday. Officers made contact with the woman, observing a strong odor of alcohol. The woman advised she had just left the Flying Pig and was intoxicated. The woman contacted a friend and was given a ride home.
— Officers responded to Walmart at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a man with an active arrest warrant. An off-duty Columbiana officer observed the man in question. The warrant was confirmed and contact was made with the man, Christian Ruble, 23, Beloit, and he was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of West Pershing Street at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check. The man in question didn’t answer and had an eviction notice on the door. Officer spoke with the landlord who advised he had not seen the man in some time.
— Officers on patrol in the 100 block of West State Street at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday stopped a motorcycle driven by a wanted person. During the stop K-9 Simon was deployed and indicated to the presence of narcotic odor. The warrant was confirmed and a search of the motorcycle recovered contraband. The person, Christopher Brink, 43, Salem, was transported to the Columbiana County Jail for his warrant and an additional charge of drug paraphernalia.
— Officers checked on a dog in a vehicle in the 2400 block of East State Street at 5:26 p.m. Tuesday. Officers observed the vehicle to have all four windows down and the dog did not appear to be in distress.
— Officers on patrol in the 900 block of West Pershing Street at 4:43 p.m. Tuesday observed what appeared to be a water main leak. Dispatch contacted the water department, advising them of the problem.
— An officer responded to the 600 block of East Ninth Street at 10:06 p.m. Sunday where a resident reported her neighbor had been evicted but was still living in the apartment. Officers spoke with neighbor who denied being evicted and still had her personal belongings and furniture in the apartment. The caller was advised to contact the landlord.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of Liberty Street at 8:02 p.m. Sunday in reference to a woman outside yelling. Officers found it to be a verbal argument between household members, who were advised to separate for the rest of the evening.
— Officer responded to the 2400 block of East State Street at 5:40 p.m. Sunday where a caller reported someone leaving their dog in a vehicle with the windows up and no air conditioning while they entered a restaurant and sat down to eat. Officers spoke to the driver, who was not identified, and found it was not the first time they had done this. As a result the driver was advised they would be charged with neglect of a companion animal and would be mailed a summons for court.
— Frank Dimuzio, 56, Lakeview Drive, Hanoverton, was charged with assault after officers responded to the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 11:20 p.m. Saturday in reference to an assault and found him attempting to leave the scene while a victim was lying on the ground. The victim was transported to the hospital for their injuries.
— A 2700 block East State Street resident reported a man was driving past his home and purposely revving the engine of his vehicle to cause an annoyance. The man was contacted to told to stop.
— An Ohio Avenue resident reported at 8:41 p.m. Saturday her juvenile daughter had not returned home after work. The daughter was found at her workplace and said she had decided to stay there after clocking out. She was advised to go home. The resident called again at 9:13 p.m. to report that her daughter had still not returned home and she wasn’t at her workplace when she went to get her. The daughter was found a few blocks from her home and given a ride home.
Perry Township
— Officers responded to the 1800 block of Allen Road at 11:28 p.m. Sunday for a report of an intoxicated man that had fallen and was bleeding. Officers arrived with EMT and the man was transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center.
— Officers responded to the 1900 block of South Lincoln at 1:23 p.m. Sunday for a wellness check. The caller advised that a friend had called her and all that could be heard was breathing noises. Officers spoke with the woman in question who advised she was okay.
— Christina Kinemond, 32, Salem, was cited for traffic control devices and failure to yield after her southbound vehicle on state Route 45 failed to stop at a red light, causing her vehicle to be struck by a vehicle driven east by Rodney Hannay, 62, Sebring, at 8:51 a.m. Sunday.
— Officers responded to the 1800 block of Depot Road at 4:45 a.m. Sunday for a report of cows in the roadway. Officers were able to contact the owner of the cows placed back inside the fence. Officers and the owner found the cows had broken the lock on the gate.
— Officers responded to the 2000 block of Shamrock Arbor Drive at 4:05 p.m. Saturday to speak with the caller about concerns with the size of the brush pile his neighbor was planning on burning. Officers advised the fire department of the matter.
— Officers responded to the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 6:32 a.m. Saturday for a report of a cat stuck in the window. Officers found the resident had left multiple cats behind and retrieved the one in the window. Officers contacted the humane society respond.
— Officers responded to the area of Main Street and Florida Avenue at 12:23 a.m. Saturday for a report of a suspicious vehicle shining flashlights at residents. Officers spoke with the driver, who advised they were attempting to locate a resident to deliver food.
— Officers responded to a structure fire in the 1700 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 10:51 a.m. Friday. Officers and the fire department found brush being burnt on the property and no fire to the building.
East Liverpool
— An officer responded on Aug. 3 at 11:17 to a report of a fight in the 700 block of Minerva Street. The officer made contact with a 17-year-old male who said he was at his girlfriend’s house when he was assaulted by two other males. Several attempts were made to contact the parents of the two males so charges could be filed.
— An officer took a report by phone on Aug. 3 at 6:43 a.m. from a female who said another female keeps circling her house and honking the horn and threatening her girlfriend. Officer’s spoke to the girlfriend who said she did not want to file a report for the threats.
— An officer at the request of the planning department took a photo of a property located in the 600 block of Green Street and the couch located in front of house on Aug 3 at 4:49 p.m.
— An officer took a call from a female on Aug. 3 at 7:51 p.m. who said she bought a four-wheeler that she thinks may have been stolen. There was a report of a stolen four-wheeler from Wintersville and officers are reaching out to the police department there to verify.
— An officer spoke to a male in the 500 block of East 5th Street. on Aug. 3 at 9:05 a.m. regarding a threatening message his mother received. The male showed the officer a message sent on Facebook Messenger from a female telling his mother that she was coming for her and her family and to calm her kids down or she would be burying them. The male said he would like to press charges and obtain a protection order. He was advised how to get a protection order and the officer said he would be contacting the prosecutor’s office about filing charges
— Officers received a complaint from the housing department on Aug. 3 at 1:13 p.m. regarding a person squatting in a property on Grove Alley. Officers arrived at the house and made contact with Myron Youngblood, 42, address not provided. Officers were advised by dispatch that Youngblood had an outstanding warrant through the sheriff’s office. Officers took Youngblood into custody and transported him to the East Liverpool hospital for evaluation and then to the county jail once he was medically cleared.
— Officers were dispatched to the Vista Motel on Edwards Street on Aug. 3 for two subjects the management wanted removed
— An officer on Aug. 3 at 12:34 p.m. had a vehicle on Lisbon Street towed and impounded due to plates that expired in 2022. The owner of the vehicle was notified.
— Officers filed a missing juvenile report on Aug. 3 at 4:22 p.m. Faith Rickard, 15, was reported as having left her home at an unknown hour and her family is unsure of her whereabouts. She was last seen on Aug. 2 around 11 p.m. when her mother went to bed. Her mother reported that she did not take any personal belongings with her. Her usual hang out spots were checked by family, but they were unable to find her. She was been entered in LEADS as a missing juvenile.
