Lisbon
— A vehicle was reported being driven around the block at high speeds with a loud exhaust in the area of Maple and West Washington streets at 7:22 p.m. Thursday. An extra watch was requested. An officer responded to the area, but made no contact with the driver.
— A suspicious male was reported loitering at Circle K on North Market Street at 1:30 a.m. Thursday. An officer spoke to the male and told him the employees wanted him to move along. He understood and left.
— A man possibly under the influence was reported at 5:59 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Oil on East Lincoln Way. An officer responded and spoke to the man who reported going through some stuff with his family. He said he had not taken anything. He tried to find a ride home and couldn’t, then a driver on Vine Street noticed him and offered to take him home.
— A property owner reported at 3:17 Aug. 10 that a car has been parking on his property on West Washington Street who isn’t a renter. He wanted the driver contacted to move the vehicle or he would have it towed. An officer made contact with the driver and he moved the vehicle and was told not to park there anymore.
— A representative of the Save A Lot store on East Lincoln Way reported at 10:43 a.m. Aug. 10 that someone has been stealing money out of the pop machines outside.
Perry Township
–Officers on patrol in the area of Egypt Road and Painter Road at 11:08 p.m. Friday located multiple tree limbs blocking the roadway and cleared them away.
–Officers spoke with a woman by phone a 9:25 p.m. Friday regarding a property dispute over a bracelet. Officers advised her of the options for dealing with the issue.
–Officers responded to the 400 block of Benton Road at 8:39 p.m. Friday for a reported 911-hang-up-call. It was determined everything was okay and the homeowner advised her son had been playing with her phone.
–Officers responded to the 200 block of Springdale Street at 7:16 p.m. Friday for a neighbor dispute. Officers determined both parties had gotten into a heated argument with each other in the roadway, but that it was verbal only. Both parties were given a disorderly conduct warning and advised to stay away from the other’s residence. Both parties were given information on protection orders.
–Officers responded to the 200 block of Springdale Street at 5:20 p.m. Friday for a report of an ongoing neighbor dispute regarding a missing cat. The caller advised that their neighbor put a cat carrier near the property line with references to Jeffrey Dahmer and other slurs pointed at their home. Officers took photos of the carrier and advised the caller and family to not engage with the neighbor and were given options to seek a protection order. Officers attempted to make contact with the neighbor and found nobody to be at home at the time.
–Officers responded to the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 5:18 p.m. Friday for a report of a package being delivered to the wrong address. The caller advised her daughter had ordered some items through Shein and put the wrong address on the delivery, and provided officers with the address the package was delivered to. Officers spoke with the resident at that address who advised they had returned the package to FedEx. Officers advised them of their options and a report was made.
–Officers spoke to a woman by phone at 8:49 p.m. Thursday regarding a custody issue. The woman advised that her daughter’s father picker her up and took her to Florida without any notice. Officers advised her that the matter was a civil issue and advised her of her options.
–Officers responded to the Salem Public Library at 7:53 p.m. Thursday to assist Salem Police Department. Officers stood by until no longer needed.
Sheriff’s Office
— A deputy on patrol at 12:53 a.m. Friday located two overhead doors open at Phil’s Sales and Service, Columbiana Lisbon Road, Fairfield Township. A key holder said they were supposed to be left open.
— A Trinity Church Road, Hanover Township, resident reported at 8:44 p.m. Thursday that a vehicle pulled into her driveway and a female was yelling at a child, then drove away. A deputy checked the area, but was unable to locate the vehicle.
— A deputy at 5:23 p.m. Thursday responded to Wayne Bridge Road, Center Township, for an open 911 line. The homeowner said everything was fine. The number that called 911 did not belong to anyone at the residence.
— An alarm was reported at 3:21 p.m. Thursday at Consumer National Bank, Canal Street, Hanoverton. The bank was closed and all doors and windows were secure at ground level.
— A 911 hangup call was reported at 4:34 a.m. Thursday on Forbes Road, Madison Township, where a resident said everything was fine and no assistance was needed.
— A deputy noted a suspicious vehicle at a business on Y & O Road and East Liverpool Road at 3:24 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle isn’t usually there. An attempt was made to contact the registered owner. The vehicle will be left until contact can be made.
— A deputy conducted a welfare check at 8:21 p.m. Wednesday on South Lane Drive, Hanover Township. The person was fine. Another welfare check had been done at 7:47 p.m. Wednesday on Rose Drive, Center Township, with the person fine and relatives saying the person was fine.
— A deputy at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday assisted Liverpool Township Police with a theft report on Y & O Road, Madison Township.
— A man on state Route 45, Salem Township, reported at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday that he let his friend make payment on his dirt bike and let him use it, then his friend sold it. He was told it’s a civil matter and to take him to civil court.
— A woman on Campbell Road, Hanover Township, reported at 9:34 p.m. Tuesday that a vehicle parked in her driveway. A deputy spoke with the driver who was there for the neighbor and was told to park there. The woman was advised and said that was fine.
— A man reported at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday that his 16-year-old daughter had his vehicle at her residence on Randel Road, Hanoverton. She called dispatch and advised the vehicle is parked at her grandmother’s on Schneider Road, Hanover Township. A deputy notified the man.
— Deputies and Lisbon police officers assisted the Columbiana County Drug Task Force with a search warrant on Steubenville Pike Road, Center Township at 438 p.m. Tuesday.
Liverpool Township
— An officer checking vehicular speed on state Route 7 Aug. 10 clocked a vehicle at 11:29 p.m. going 80 mph in a 55-mph zone. The officer conducted a traffic stop and issued a citation with court date to Chloe Reed, age and address not provided, for speed.
— An officer sitting stationary on Anderson Boulevard Aug. 11 at 12:53 a.m. observed a vehicle being driven with plates that showed the registered owner had a suspended license and active warrants. The officer conducted a traffic stop and placed the driver, identified as Dylan Walsh, age and address not provided, under arrest for the warrants. The vehicle was towed by First Class Towing. Walsh was also cited and given a court date for operating a vehicle without a license.
— An officer was dispatched to Fox Chase Road Aug. 11 at 4:46 a.m. for a report of a tractor in the middle of the road. The officer saw the tractor in the roadway flipped on its side. After checking the area and seeing no people or vehicles he had First Class Towing tow the tractor. At 10:31 a.m. the same morning, officers received a report of a stolen tractor from the 2100 block of Irish Ridge Road.
Salem
— Officers responded to the 500 block of East State Street at 4:49 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a low hanging branch. The caller advised the location of the branch could potentially damage vehicles. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the source of the complaint.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of Prospect Street at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday for a juvenile issue. The juvenile had left the area prior to officers’ arrival, but they were advised the juveniles were climbing on large propane tanks. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate them.
— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Cleveland Street at 3:47 p.m. Wednesday for a reported dispute. Officers spoke with both parties, determining the matter to be a property dispute. Both sides agreed to get some of the remaining property at a later time.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Seventh Street at 2:18 p.m. Wednesday to assist the Salem housing officer. Officers stood by while the housing officer spoke to the homeowner until no longer needed.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Seventh Street at 12:14 p.m. Wednesday for a wellness check. The caller advised his brother wasn’t taking his medication and that he was concerned. Officers spoke with the brother who advised he was fine and did not need any medical attention.
— Officers responded to the 1800 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 11:14 p.m. Wednesday for a report of dog at large. The caller advised she had found the animal lost, and officers transported it to the humane society until the owner could be located.
— Officers received a license plate located in the 1000 block of East State Street at 11:03 a.m. Wednesday. The license was placed into the department’s lost and found until the owner could be located.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 7:02 a.m. Wednesday for a speak with officer report. The caller had concerns about his bank statement and officers advised him to contact his bank when they opened it and speak with them.
