— Officers responded to a report of vandalism in the 2000 block of Lisbon St. The responding officer said he received a report from a resident who said he had witnessed a male vandalize the Convenient Food Market. The officers while speaking to the witness observed a male on the scene riding a bike and whose speech was slurred and he had an odor of alcohol on his breath. The male refused to identify himself to officers. When the officers told him he was being investigated for vandalism the male said he broke the camera and it wasn’t a big deal. The male identified as Isiah Coulter, 21, address not given, was placed under arrest and charged with criminal mischief and theft.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of May Street on Aug, 1 at 6:14 p.m. when a female reported that her adult daughter would not stop throwing things and shouting profanities. Upon arrival officers separated and interviewed both parties.
Perry Township
–Officers on patrol in the 1600 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 11:44 p.m. Sunday located a suspicious vehicle in a business parking lot after hours. Officers checked the vehicle, finding it to be secure and unoccupied. Officers checked the business, finding it to be secure as well.
–Officers responded to the corner of Chestnut Grove Road at 8:27 p.m. Sunday for a report of power lines down blocking the roadway. Officers along with the Salem and Perry Township Fire Departments blocked the roadway until Ohio Edison could arrive and remove the lines.
–Officers attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on U.S. Route 62 near Goshen Road at 10 a.m. Sunday for a traffic offense. The vehicle fled the area and was ultimately stopped on Howard Street by Salem Officers. The driver, Dustin Dotson, 19, Warren, was taken into custody charged with speeding, reckless operation, failure to display a valid plate, and failure to comply, and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
–Officers responded to the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 2:41 a.m. Sunday for a report of a vehicle parked playing loud music. Officers advised the occupant of the vehicle of the noise ordinance.
–Officers spoke with a woman walking in the middle of the air, throwing her arms in the air and yelling and talking to herself, in the 2000 block of Egypt Road at 9:52 a.m. Saturday. The woman was identified, pink slipped and taken to St. Elizabeth’s Mercy Hospital by EMT.
–Officers responded to the area of state Route 344 at 2:02 a.m. Saturday for a wellness check on a man standing on the side of the roadway in the rain. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the man.
–Officers responded to the 1100 block of Beechwood Road at 12:15 a.m. Saturday for a medical call. Officers stood by with the patient until EMT arrived and transported them to the hospital for treatment.
–Officers responded to the 2000 block of Countryside Drive at 12:06 a.m. Saturday for a wellness check. Officers were able to speak with the resident who advised everything was okay.
