— Officers spoke to an individual seeking medical attention at the police department at 4:01 a.m. Tuesday. The fire department responded and transported the person to the Salem Regional Medical Center for treatment.
— Officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of East Third Street at 2:17 a.m. Tuesday for a noise complaint. The caller advised the neighbor was moving things around in the apartment upstairs and wanted officers to make contact about the issue. Officers responded and attempted contact for several minutes but nobody answered the door.
— Officers responded to the 2100 block of East State Street at 9:10 p.m. Monday for reports of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot and located two men exiting the vehicle. Officers spoke with the passenger of the vehicle, but were unable to locate the registered owner and the vehicle was towed by Kaisers Towing. Officers also located contraband near the driver door of the vehicle. Officers spoke with one of the men over the phone due to him leaving the area before officers were able to speak to him. Officers advised the man that he had the opportunity to come the police department and talk with officers which the man declined. A warrant for drug paraphernalia was issued for the man, whose name was not listed, with further charges pending lab results from BCI.
— Officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of West Sixteenth Street at 7:31 p.m. Monday for a person to be removed. The caller said she wanted a man removed from the residence that does not live there and only stayed a couple of nights. While officers were speaking with the man about leaving the residence dispatch informed officers that the man, Scott Bailey, 52, had an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office. Bailey was informed of the warrant and taken into custody, and transported to the police department for processing before being transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
— Officers responded to a residence in the 2400 block of East State Street at 6:19 p.m. Monday for a juvenile problem. Officers spoke with all involved parties, finding they were having a disagreement over the juvenile getting her cell phone taken away. Officers had the guardian of the juvenile respond to the scene, and the juvenile left with her guardian.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of West Pershing Street at 11:22 a.m. Monday for a dog at large complaint. Officers were able to detain the dog until the humane agent arrived. Officers and the humane agent returned the dog to its owner, who was advised she would be cited the next time the dog was found running at large.
— Officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 10:30 a.m. Monday for a report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The caller advised that her boyfriend had taken her sister’s car without permission and left in an unknown direction. After several attempts by the caller to contact him, she eventually made contact with him and advised he would bring the car back. The vehicle was returned to the owner, who declined to file charges.
