— John Jay Eastman, 78, Youngstown, was cited for expired plates following a traffic stop on state Route 45 at state Route 165 at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

— David Wayne Englad, 65, Ravenna, was cited for speeding following a traffic stop on state Route 14 at Pine Lake Road at 10:19 a.m. Wednesday.

— John Brian Kanos, 63, Lisbon, was cited for speeding following a traffic stop on state Route 14 at Middletown Road at 9:55 a.m. Wednesday.

— Bakaw Touray, 47, Tarentum, Pa., was cited for speeding following a traffic stop on state Route 165 near Virginia Avenue in Greenford at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

— Delton Lee Weaver, 23, Hanoverton, was cited for speeding following a traffic stop on Lisbon Road at Cool Road at 5:41 p.m. Jan. 7

— Heather M. Carter, 44, Beloit, was cited for speeding following a traffic stop in front of West Branch High School at 7:55 a.m. Jan. 5.

— Officers responded to the 15000 block of West South Range Road at 3:05 p.m. Jan. 3 where a caller reported his niece had been staying with his mother for a few months and wanted her removed from the property. The property owner was found to be another son of the resident who also wanted the niece to remove her belongings from the property. They were advised the niece would have to be evicted by the resident.

— Hunter Christian Carlisle, 18, Salem, was cited for speeding following a traffic stop on West Western Reserve Road at Covington Cove at 5:53 p.m. Jan. 2.

— Jacob Thomas Vantuinen, 22, Cleveland, was cited for speeding following a traffic stop at state routes 14 and 165 at 1:35 p.m. Jan. 2.

— Jason Alexander Kloos, 46, Beaver Falls, Pa., was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device and no seatbelt following a traffic stop at 3:21 a.m. Jan. 2.

— Ryan Lee Hartley, 18, Youngstown, was cited for speeding following a traffic stop on state Route 14 at Egypt Road at 8:11 p.m. Jan. 1.

— Jessica L. Helman, 35, Salem, was cited for failure to obey a stop sign following a traffic stop on Egypt Road at state Route 14 at 7:28 p.m. Jan. 1.

— Heath Anthony Porter, 26, Canton, was cited for expired registration following a traffic stop at state routes 165 and 534 at 6:03 p.m. Jan.1.

Salem

— Officers responded with medical personnel to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue for a drug overdose. The man was eventually transported to the hospital by ambulance.

— While on patrol at 9:18 a.m. Saturday, officers observed a vehicle in the 1500 block of Salem Parkway that appeared to have had the catalytic converter cut off it.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West Pershing Street at 11:21 p.m. Friday where a woman reported her cell phone was missing after another person at the home went through her bag. Due to the cell phone being borrowed, the woman was advised to have the owner file a report.

— Tristan A. Apinis, 37, Salem, was charged with drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments following a traffic stop at North Ellsworth Avenue and East Fifth Street at 8:01 p.m. Friday. His passenger, Elias M. Hall, 30, Mogadore, was cited for drug abuse instruments.

— Officers assisted the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with an alleged sex offense in the 100 block of West State Street at 6:10 p.m. Friday. During the investigation, officers seized $120 from the male suspect.

— A Sebring resident reported on station at 4:06 p.m. Friday a domestic incident involved her juvenile son earlier in the week. Officers said they would look into the matter.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 4:55 p.m. Friday in reference to a suspicious person walking in the roadway. Officers found the person in question in the 100 block of East Pershing Street and were familiar with her. After speaking with her, officers had her transported by ambulance to a hospital for evaluation. Due to her behavior, officers rode with the ambulance crew and assisted hospital staff.

— Officers assisted the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with detaining a man in the 100 block of West State Street at 3:47 p.m. Friday.

— Christopher M. Brink, 42, Salem, was charged with drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 400 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 3:04 p.m. Friday.

— An East Euclid Avenue resident reported at 2:18 p.m. Friday her brother was away and people were in his apartment that should not be. Officers spoke with two people in the apartment who said the brother permitted them to be there.

— Officers assisted the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with detaining a man in the 500 block of East Pershing Street at 12:29 p.m. Friday.

St. Clair Township

— On Jan. 3, officers responded to Hardcore Custom on state Route 170 for a report of property damage from someone driving through the gate.

— On Jan. 3, officers responded to Taco Bell on state Route 170 for a private property crash.

— On Jan. 3, an officer reported being stopped by a pedestrian who said they witnessed a couple take items from Walmart without paying. Officer conducted a traffic stop on state Route 170 on the vehicle the couple was driving. Upon speaking with the driver, identified as Jeffrey Powers, who said they just came from Walmart, and running his information through LEADS, it was discovered there was an outstanding warrant for him. A passenger, identified as Lindsey Beebout, also had an outstanding warrant. Both were taken into custody. Officer contacted loss prevention at Walmart and the items totaling $577.08 were returned to the store. Powers was charged with Theft-(Petty) and Criminal Trespass. Beebout was charged with Theft-(Petty).

— On Jan. 4, officers responded to a report of domestic dispute at the Dresden Avenue Walmart. Walmart employees reported seeing a male strike a female identified as Billie Ingledue in the face and ribs. Officers were unable to make contact with the male identified as Michael Hanlon. The officer reported the female was uncooperative and had a warrant outstanding and she was taken into custody.

— On Jan. 5, officers were dispatched to a McCoy Avenue residence in reference to an elderly male entering somebody’s house.

— On Jan. 6, officers were dispatched to the BP station on state Route 170 for a protection order violation.

— On Jan. 6, officers stopped a vehicle for no license plate light and expired tag. Once driver became irate and started yelling at officers, saying he wished they would crash their cruisers and die, he was taken into custody for disorderly conduct/menacing.

— On Jan. 6, officers responded to a Mulberry Street residence for a report of breaking and entering.

— On Jan. 6, officers received a call from North Star stating they had a male slumped over his steering wheel at Sheetz. The driver, Daniel Shrader, just had his head down looking at his phone. Officers detected an odor of marijuana and Shrader was issued a citation for drug possession of marijuana and expired tags. Calcutta towing towed the vehicle due to tags being expired.

— On Jan. 7, officers were dispatched for emergency assistance to Cornell Circle for a female who was having difficulty breathing.
