Salem

— Officers responded to a business in the 400 block of 11:32 a.m. Friday for a wellness check on a man with a motorized scooter. Officers located the man at a local business and spoke with him. The man advised he was fine.

— Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 11:15 a.m. Friday for a report regarding a situation with a relative. The BMV advised her to file a report regarding the relative possibly forging a title in her name to obtain license plates. The caller felt the relative would try to obtain plates for a 1990s model Cadillac without her knowledge, and that he may try to forge her name to obtain them. The family member is currently in another state but may come to an Ohio BMV to try this, she said.

— Officers responded to a business in the 2400 block of East State Street at 9:25 a.m. Friday for a report of a suspicious person. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the person in question. Officers also spoke with a staff member from the business who said the man had left prior to officers’ arrival.

— Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 7:35 a.m. Friday for a food complaint against a local business. The man was referred to the city health department for follow up.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Continental Drive at 7:35 p.m. Thursday for a report of a tree in the roadway. Officers located a large tree blocking the roadway and contacted the street department to remove it.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Aetna Street at 6:40 p.m. Thursday for a report of a suspicious man in a red four door vehicle attempting to pick up a woman walking down the sidewalk. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

— Nathan Kasten, 16, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after his southbound vehicle in the 200 block of North Union Avenue failed to stop in time, striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Amy Russel, 43, at 3:17 p.m. Thursday.

— Officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of East State Street at 3:10 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check. Officers were advised by a counseling center that the resident was on the phone with them and was making threats to harm himself. Officers located the resident and were able to convince him to seek treatment. The fire department responded and transported the resident to the hospital for further evaluation.

— Officers responded to the 2700 block of East State Street at 2:22 p.m. Thursday for a recovered property report. Officers were advised that two woman’s rings were located in the parking lot of a plaza. The rings were taken back to the police department and placed in lost and found.

— Officers responded to a residence in the 900 block of Morris Avenue at 2 p.m. Thursday for a 911 hang-up call. Officers attempted contact at the residence the call had possible originated form but nobody responded and it did not appear anyone was home. Officers remained in the area for several minutes but did not observe any problems.

— Officers responded to the 2200 block of East State Street at 1:44 p.m. Thursday for a report of a hit and skip. A vehicle driven by Tiffany Wooten was sitting stationary in a legal parking spot when an unknown vehicle backed up and side-swiped Wooten’s vehicle before fleeing the scene.

— Rickie Brewer was cited for traffic control device after his westbound vehicle ran the red light at the intersection of State Street and Lincoln Avenue, causing him to be struck by a northbound vehicle driven by Ryan Gillis at 10:56 a.m. Thursday.

— Officers responded to the area of East State Street and Southeast Boulevard at 6:48 a.m. Thursday for a report of road rage. The caller advised that she was traveling eastbound on East State Street behind a silver Toyota sedan and the driver kept brake checking her, and that when she passed the vehicle, she believed they bumped into her vehicle. There were no marks or damage on the caller’s vehicle. Officers checked the area for the other vehicle but were unable to locate it.

Perry Township

— Officers responded with the fire department to the 1500 block of North Egypt Road at 9:32 p.m. Thursday for a report of a tree in the roadway. Officers conducted traffic control while the fire department and the street department cleared the roadway.

— Officers spoke to a man by phone at 5:24 p.m. Tuesday who advised that he had recently moved and while he was living on West Perry Street his roommate had made multiple threats to cause him physical harm. The man was advised to come to the police department to speak with an officer and fill out a statement.

— Officers responded to the area of the U.S. Route 62 four lane for a report of a wrong way driver at 4:48 p.m. Jan. 9. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 12:31 a.m. Jan. 9 to assist the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office with serving a warrant for Steven Colian. Colian complied and was taken to the Columbiana County Jail.

East Liverpool

— On Jan. 3, officers responded to a disabled vehicle on Webber Way.

— On Jan. 3, an officer took a report of theft from a Cadmus Street residence.

— On Jan. 3, officers responded to an overdose at Lincoln Avenue residence.

— On Jan. 3, officers responded to a Moore Street residence for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

— On Jan. 3, officers responded to a dog complaint at a College Street residence where the caller reported her dog which was chained on her porch was attacked by a pit bull.

— On Jan. 4, an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on McKinnon Avenue for failing to signal.

— On Jan. 4, officers responded to a Brightview Drive for a reported assault.

— On Jan. 4, an officer on patrol conducted a traffic on West Eighth Street for no headlights on.

— On Jan. 4, officers conducted a welfare check at a Moore Street residence.

— On Jan. 4, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of State Street for a driver reporting almost being hit by another driver.

— On Jan. 4, officers responded to a report of suspicious activity on West Eighth Street.

— On Jan. 4, officers were dispatched to Elmwood Street for a report of a lost juvenile. Due to previous issues involving the 5-year-old getting out unattended, the father was issued criminal endangering charges and given a summons to appear in court.

— On Jan. 4, officers responded to Northside Street in reference to a female who had cut herself and was threatening suicide.

— On Jan. 4, while on patrol an officer conducted a traffic stop on Pennsylvania Avenue for a vehicle with no license plate. Driver was cited for no license.

— On Jan. 4, an officer conducted a traffic stop on Pennsylvania Avenue for a vehicle with only one headlight.

— On Jan. 4, officers responded to a disabled vehicle on Dresden Avenue, which was towed.

— On Jan. 4, an officer was dispatched to Grace Presbyterian Church on First Street for a report of suspicious activity.

— On Jan. 4, an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on Pennsylvania Avenue for a vehicle with no license plate light.

— On Jan. 5, officers stood by with children services while they spoke to a protected party.

— On Jan. 6, officers responded to a report of suspicious activity on West Sixth Street.

— On Jan. 6, dispatch received a call on a neighborhood dispute on Oliver Street regarding a driver reportedly driving too fast through the neighborhood.

— On Jan. 7, officers were dispatched to Thompson Avenue for a report of a vehicle blocking a resident’s driveway.

— On Jan. 9, officers conducted a warrant check at West Sixth Street residence.

— On Jan. 9, officers responded to a report of road rage on Pennsylvania Avenue.

— On Jan. 9, officers responded to Market Street for a report of sexual assault. The report is being turned over to the detective bureau.

— On Jan. 9, officers arrested Danielle Tanner Molish for domestic violence after being called to a domestic dispute at Gardendale Street residence.

— On Jan. 9, officers responded to Green Lane for a disturbance report.

— On Jan. 11, officers were dispatched to a Moore Street residence for a report of female needing to be removed. The female was having mental health issue and NorthStar was called to transport her to hospital.

— On Jan. 11, an officer conducted a traffic stop on George Street for a vehicle with a loud exhaust. During the traffic stop, the officer recovered a broken meth pipe and a package containing a hard white substance. The driver was issued a citation for loud exhaust and expired license. The substance found will be sent to BCI for testing.

— On Jan. 11, officers responded to a West Ninth Street residence for a suicidal male.

Highway Patrol

— Michael Smith, 40, Lisbon, was cited for failure to control, driving under suspension and a seatbelt violation after his eastbound vehicle on state Route 172 failed to negotiate a left turn and went off the left side of the roadway, striking a guy wire at 3:27 p.m. Jan 4 in Center Township. Smith had a possible head injury but left the scene before officials arrived.

Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office

— A deputy was dispatched at 4:13 p.m. Thursday to Williamson’s Heavy Duty Truck Center, U.S. Route 62, Knox Township, for a theft from vehicle report.

— A deputy at 8 p.m. Wednesday assisted the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office with serving a warrant on Michael D. Proctor, who was taken into custody by Carroll County sheriff’s deputies at a Rochester Road, West Township property.

— A protection order was served on a male in Butler Township at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday.

— Loud music was reported at 5:38 p.m. Wednesday on Bayview Drive, Knox Township, but wasn’t located.

— Deputies responded to a Lisa Lane, Lisbon address after a female called 911 at 3:44 a.m. Wednesday saying she needed help and then hung up. The female told deputies when they arrived that she saw a short bald man standing at her front door for 15 minutes, then disappeared. She didn’t recognize him and said she called her sister who called 911. Deputies checked the area and around the home and didn’t locate anyone.

— A man was served with a protection order at 4:29 p.m. Tuesday at the county jail.
