County Sheriff
— The Beaver County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania requested a Columbiana County deputy make contact with a woman on Glasgow Road in Madison Township at 5:09 p.m. Friday, but no contact was able to be made.
— A Middleton Township man called at 3:36 p.m. Friday to report a noise complaint with the company pumping water at Carmel Achor Road at Shem Road. He was told to contact the Middleton Township trustees.
— Deputies were dispatched at 1:50 a.m. Friday to assist Lisbon police with a fight at Shenanigans Pub on South Jefferson Street, Lisbon, standing by while Lisbon officers spoke with several people.
— A trespasser was reported at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at a Wayne Bridge Road property in Center Township, but left while deputies were en route.
— Illegal trash dumping was reported at 1:42 a.m. Thursday along Lusk Lock Road near the Bowman Cemetery in Elkrun Township. A deputy discovered someone had dumped a truckload of rubbish in the middle of the road. The deputy looked through the trash and found two items with separate names which were taken as evidence, with a follow up investigation pending. Charges will be filed once the investigation is finalized.
Lisbon
— Officers responded with medical personnel to the VFW at 8:35 p.m. Sept. 14 in reference to someone who fell in the back lot and struck her head. Officers assisted EMS in loading the victim into the ambulance.
— Officers responded with medical personnel to David Anderson High School at 8:07 p.m. Sept. 14 in reference to someone who had fallen on the bleacher steps while watching a volleyball game in the gymnasium. Officers stood by until EMS arrived to evaluate the victim.
— A patrolling officer at 2:48 a.m. Sept. 13 found an open gate at CARTS on Jackson Street. The officer found no signs of tampering with the vehicles then secured the gate.
— Officers responded to an East Chestnut Street home at 7:02 p.m. Sept. 7 in reference to a fight. The complainants said another man had attempted to fight them, swinging a punch but missing. They said the man’s son then came out with a baseball bat. The complainants said they wanted a protection order and were advised how to obtain one. The alleged assailant said one of the complainants had started it by yelling and challenging him and that they both swung punches at each other, missing. A witness said it was all verbal and no one had a bat. Everyone was told to stay away from each other.
— An officer responded with the fire department to a possible brush fire in the area of Dunkin at 5:11 a.m. Sept. 6 after a customer reported seeing a fire behind the business. The area of Saltwell Road, Alice Drive and Garfield Street Extension were searched, but no fire found.
— An officer responded to the area of North Market Street and Lee Avenue at 1:03 a.m. Sept. 5 in reference to a lift with no lights in the roadway. The officer spoke with the operator who said his trailer had broken down earlier in the day and he was trying to transport the lift when traffic conditions were light. The lift was escorted to a nearby parking lot.
— Alan Michael Taylor, Salineville, was cited for leaving the scene of a crash on private property after another driver reported at 10:48 p.m. Sept. 1 his vehicle was struck while it was at a gas pump at a North Market Street business. The vehicle that fled the scene was determined to belong to Taylor, who admitted to striking the other vehicle, but claimed he had left a note on the window.
Columbiana
— David Liptay, 21, Columbiana, was cited for open container in public after police found him walking in the 44000 block of state Route 14 at 12:37 a.m. Sunday.
— Eric Gustafson, 43, North Lima, was charged with OVI, OVI breath .08-.17 and operation of a special vehicle on a roadway following an ATV rollover on Homestead Drive at 11:32 pm.. Sept. 16. Gustafson was transported to St. Elizabeth’s in Youngstown in stable condition.
— Police received a report at 4:15 p.m. Sept. 16 of a vehicle that had struck another unoccupied vehicle in the Oakmont Plaza on state Route 46 then fled the scene.
— Jessica Cross, 40, East Liverpool, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 300 block of North Main Street at 3:41 p.m. Sept. 16.
— A West Salem Street resident reported at 7:36 a.m. Sept. 15 suspicious activity near her home.
— Police are investigating a counterfeit transaction at a South Avenue business at 3:03 p.m. Sept. 13.
