— An East Third Street resident reported at 3:03 p.m. Wednesday an ongoing issue with a previous employer. The complainant was advised of options.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of North Broadway Avenue at 10:36 a.m. Wednesday in reference to a stolen license plate.

— Officers responded to the area of North Ellsworth Avenue and East Eighth Street at 10:26 a.m. Wednesday in reference to something being stuck in the Salvation Army drop box. The fire department cut the lock and found nothing out of the ordinary.

— An officer assisted the highway patrol at 6:57 a.m. Wednesday in searching for someone who had fled on foot following a pursuit in the area of Courtney and Jennings roads. The search had negative results, but a search off U.S. Route 62 uncovered a gun.

— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 12:03 a.m. Wednesday to check the well-being of a resident who reportedly posted concerning images to her social media. The resident admitted to making the posts, but said she had already deleted them and had no thoughts of harming herself.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Fourth Street at 8:51 p.m. Tuesday where a resident reported a van drove by and two people inside began barking at his cat. The resident said the van returned and the people were barking again.

— Officers assisted the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with an alleged sex offense in the 100 block of West State Street at 6:22 p.m. Tuesday. Officers seized $80 from the suspect.

— An officer responded with the fire department to a possible structure fire in the 500 block of Continental Drive at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday. The fire was found to already be extinguished with minimal smoke inside the home. Firefighters checked the oven and assisted in clearing the smoke.

— A juvenile reported on station at 3:56 p.m. Tuesday being homeless and in need of a place to stay. An investigation revealed the juvenile’s grandmother in Niles as the guardian and she responded to pick up the juvenile.

— A 2400 block Lexington Avenue resident reported at 10:26 a.m. Tuesday someone had taken a gardening tool from her front porch.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Homewood Avenue at 7:12 a.m. Tuesday where a resident reported someone attempted to gain entry into her home. Video was provided but officers were unable to identify the person.
