Salem

— Officers responded to the area of Granite Avenue and Liberty Street at 12:57 p.m. Sunday in reference to motorcycles speeding in the roadway. Officers were unable to find any motorcycles in the area.

— An officer responded to the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 9:16 a.m. Sunday where a caller reported finding an apparent scalpel and cell phone near his property. The items were confiscated.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Third Street at 1:52 a.m. Sunday where a man reported being assaulted by two other people who fled eastbound. The victim said he did not know the other people involved and had no interest in pressing charges. He also refused medical attention.

— Officers responded to the Salem hospital at 9:54 p.m. Saturday in reference to an uncooperative patient. The patient was found to be intoxicated but not causing any problems. The officer stood by to assure no problems occurred. Officers responded at 11:35 p.m. where the patient was causing problems again, threatening staff members. The patient was permitted to speak with his wife via phone and then he calmed down.

— An officer responded to the 1000 block of Cleveland Street at 8:19 p.m. Saturday where an individual turned over a homemade knife found near a dumpster in a business parking lot. The knife was disposed of at the police department.

— An officer responded to the 1600 block of East State Street at 8:10 p.m. Saturday in reference to a runaway juvenile in which a resident reported her son had left through a window and she did not know where he went. Officers checked the area and were unable to find him.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of Morris Avenue at 7:48 p.m. Saturday to check on a resident after a neighbor reported he has not seen or heard from the resident in several days. Officers were unable to make contact with the resident at the home, but spoke with a family member show said the person was fine.

— Officers responded with the fire department to the 400 block of Franklin Street at 6:01 p.m. Saturday in reference to a possible structure fire. Officers stood by until no longer needed.

— An officer responded with the fire department to the 2200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 5:53 p.m. Saturday in reference to an open burning complaint and found the resident burning a small amount of twigs in a very small fire in the back yard. While at the home, the officer was attacked by a dog, causing minor injury. A report was sent to the health department.

— An officer responded to the 1100 block of East Third Street at 5:04 p.m. Saturday in reference to an air conditioner that was damaged. The tenant said she believed the damage to have occurred in the past couple weeks.

— Officers responded to a 2800 block East State Street business at 4:35 p.m. Saturday where employees reported a customer who had been asked not to return due to issues in the past had returned. Officers spoke with the customer and explained why cannot return to business.

— A Hanoverton resident reported at 12:18 p.m. Saturday she discovered damage to her vehicle, which was parked at two local businesses on State Street the prior night.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of South Union Avenue at 11:47 a.m. Saturday in reference to a domestic dispute and found it to be verbal only.

— An officer spoke with a male individual at 9:27 a.m. Saturday in reference to an assault that occurred in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue. The matter is under investigation.

— An officer responded to the 700 block of West Wilson Street at 4:02 a.m. Saturday in reference to a person who had left the hospital with the IV still in her arm. The officer spoke with the person in question who said she was fine and no longer had the IV in her arm. She also said she did not need any further medical assistance.

— An officer responded to the 1900 block of Maple Street at 12:46 a.m. Saturday where the resident reported hearing music coming from her attic. The officer checked the residence and did not hear any music or noise coming from the attic.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Legacy Lane at 10:13 p.m. Friday in reference to a suspicious person going through a dumpster. The person left before officers arrived.

— An officer responded to the 400 block of South Broadway Avenue at 9:56 p.m. Friday where a person said he wanted to take his children for the night. The officer determined the person was never married to the children’s mother and there was no court documentation for custody. The person was advised to contact an attorney.

— Officers responded to the 1800 block of East State Street at 9:55 p.m. Friday in reference to a suspicious person attempted to get into vehicles and asking people for food. The person was told to leave the area.

— A man reported on station at 6:55 p.m. Friday he attempted to pick up his children in the 1300 block of Carole Drive when the mother would not return the children.

— An East State Street resident reported at 5:59 p.m. Friday a juvenile had left the residence without permission and had yet to return. The juvenile was found at Centennial Park and returned home.

— Officers assisted an agent with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force in the 100 block of West State Street at 4:25 p.m. Friday for an alleged sex offense. An officer seized $100 from the involved man as part of the investigation.

New Waterford

— Officers responded to the Village Park at 7:41 p.m. Thursday in reference to numerous juveniles vaping. Officers identified the male juvenile who had the vape and confiscated it.

— Police responded to the 3400 block of Pinewood Drive at 2:35 p.m. Thursday in reference to a mane who fell face first on the pavement. Man declined medical assistance.

— A 3200 block Silliman Street resident reported at 9:09 p.m. April 19 she loaned her cell phone to a man and he is now claiming he lost. She was given suggestions on how to proceed.

East Liverpool

— Officers responded to an 800 block Laura Avenue home at 1:57 a.m. Sunday where a resident reported a group of people she knows knocked on her door asking for her son. She said she told them he was asleep and closed the door, then heard a loud band, discovering a rock had been thrown. Officers could not find the group of people.

— Officers responded to a 600 block St. Clair Avenue business at 1:39 a.m. Sunday to conduct a walk-thru when a customer ran to the back and hid an item under a booth. Officers found the item to be a cigarette package with what appeared to be crack cocaine. The customer denied placing the item under the booth, but was found with a matching cigarette in his hand. He was advised the substance would be sent for testing and charges were pending.

— A parent reported at 11:21 p.m. Saturday a juvenile was released from the Tobin Center on probation and was to be a Lisbon Street home, but not around another juvenile there. The parent does not reside in the city and had no way to pick up juvenile, so agreed to let the juvenile stay there for the night.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue at 4:04 p.m. Saturday in reference to juveniles acting suspicious. Officers checked the length of the roadway, finding nothing out of the ordinary.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Huston Avenue at 3:47 p.m. Saturday where a resident reported going to his father’s home on Riley Avenue when his father grabbed him by the arms and forced him out for no reason. Officers spoke with the father who said his son is not welcome at the home and had let himself in, so he pushed him back outside without grabbing him. Another member of the household confirmed the father’s story. The complainant, who wanted to press charges, was told when to speak with the law director.

— Officers responded to an 800 block Cadmus Street home at 6:46 a.m. Saturday where a resident wanted his girlfriend’s adult son removed. The son has lived at the home since November and the resident was advised of the eviction process.

— An officer responded to a domestic disturbance in the 600 block of East Fifth Street at 4:56 a.m. Saturday and found a resident arguing with someone on speaker phone. She was advised to keep her voice down.

— Officers and medical personnel responded to the 900 block of Denver Street at 12:27 a.m. Saturday in reference to a man cutting himself. The call was determined to be unfounded.

— A woman reported at 8:06 p.m. Friday while driving on Thompson Avenue near Ravine something white struck the hood of her vehicle and then the windshield. She said she stopped and saw a plastic object on the side of the road. She said she believes it came from the yard of someone she knows who she has had troubles with in the past.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Wilbert Avenue at 9:51 p.m. Friday in reference to a possible overdose in which the resident reported a man had come to the apartment and looked like he was about to faint and asked for an ambulance to be called. Officers found the man in question alert and he said he did not know what had happened. He denied taking any substances and declined medical assistance.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Mapletree Street at 1:55 a.m. Friday where a taxi driver reported a customer who received a ride from Clarke Street in Wellsville for $15.05 had entered a home to get the money and never returned.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West Second Street at 5:46 a.m. April 21 where a resident reported someone possibly trying to break into her garage. The officer checked the area and did not find anything suspicious.

— A West Fifth Street resident was found deceased at her home April 20.

— A Vine Street resident reported at 2:11 p.m. April 20 the mother of his child sends him harassing text and calls whenever he has his daughter for visitation, demanding he comply with her demands or she will come take the child and not let him have her when he is supposed to.

— A 2100 block Michigan Street resident reported at 11:02 a.m. April 20 someone stole his utility trailer from inside a fenced in yard sometime the previous weekend.

— A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a van at the First Church of the Nazarene on Walnut Street at 11:10 a.m. April 20.

— An officer responded to a Globe Street home at 9:14 a.m. April 20 at the request of the East Liverpool school resource officer to inform the residents their child had been taken to the hospital for being under the influence of an unknown substance.

— Ronnie L. McCallister, 46, no address listed, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County after officers responded to the East Liverpool hospital at 11:49 p.m. April 19 in reference to a disruptive patient and he had multiple warrants for his arrest.

— Police responded to the 2000 block of St. Clair Avenue at 1:18 p.m. April 19 in reference to a resident who was found in the bath tub. The coroner’s office responded and the body was transported to the East Liverpool hospital morgue.

— An officer responded to a 400 block Morton Street home at 1:19 p.m. April 19 where a woman reported the father of her 1-year-old child had thrown her 2-year-child against the wall after the 2-year-old allegedly hit the 1-year-old’s head against a wardrobe. The father did not have custody of the 1-year-old and was told to turn the child over to the mother. Both the mother and father were told to seek legal assistance. The matter was forwarded to children services.

— Robert Allen Riggs, 51, no address listed, turned himself in on a summons through East Liverpool Municipal Court at 10:22 a.m. April 19.

— Trevor Allison, 27, no address listed, was served a summons for five counts of failing to file city income tax at 8:27 a.m. April 19.

— Officers responded to the intersection of Lisbon and West Eight streets at 12:10 a.m. April 19 in reference to a disabled vehicle. Officers were able to move the vehicle off the side of the roadway and the driver was transported to the East Liverpool hospital.

— Arthur D. Keyser, 56, no address listed, was served a summons for failure to file city income tax at 9:50 a.m. April 18.

— Heidi L. Laneve, 49, no address listed, turned herself in on bench warrant for failure to appear at 8:04 a.m. April 18.

— A Market Street resident reported at 7:10 a.m. April 18 her vehicle was egged overnight in the back parking lot of the Market Street Lofts. She said it was the second time in the past week that her vehicle was damaged.

— Kenneth B. Devore, 24, no address listed, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County after officers responded to the 300 block of North Shadylane Drive at 5:48 a.m. April 18 in reference to a domestic dispute. No dispute was found.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of Princeton Avenue at 12:25 p.m. April 17 where a resident reported finding the rear window of her vehicle shattered.

— An officer responded to the 500 block of College Street at 10:43 a.m. April 17 in reference to a suicidal woman. The officer spoke with the woman who said she did not call anyone or send anyone pictures. The woman showed her arms which had not fresh cut marks.

— A caller reported at 6:43 a.m. April 17 a vehicle was circling the block at the bottom of St. Clair Avenue near the central fire station. The caller said someone entered the rear of the apartment building and would come out to meet the vehicle when the horn sounded for approximately one hour. An officer checked the area but found nothing suspicious.

— Officers responded to the area of Parkway Avenue and Anderson Boulevard at 11:12 p.m. April 16 in reference to a driver who would not let a passenger out of his vehicle. Officers found the the occupants of the vehicle had been in a verbal argument and the driver was taking the passenger home.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of St. Clair Avenue at 6:54 p.m. April 16 in reference to a man and woman arguing outside. Officers found that it was a verbal argument about personal issues and the man agreed to leave for the evening.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Wilbert Avenue at 6:14 p.m. April 16 where a resident reported she was watching her neighbor’s children when a 4-year-old went missing. The child was found sleeping in a closet in his home.

— A Michigan Street resident reported at 2:22 p.m. April 16 that her nephew was making threats toward her and she wanted a protection order against him.

— A Sunnyside Street resident reported at 12:12 p.m. April 16 someone had taken the deed to his home and he wanted a report on file in case someone attempted to forge his personal information.

— Officers responded to to the 800 block of Lisbon Street at 3:58 a.m. April 16 in reference to someone to be removed but found the person had already left, creating a problem before leaving.

— Ryan L. Pritt, 40, no address listed, was charged with public intoxication after officers responded to the 800 block of Lisbon Street at 12:28 a.m. April 16 after a neighbor reported he was attempting to leave the property on his motorcycle while intoxicated and causing a lot of noise.

— Joshua James Miller, 34, no address listed, was charged with domestic violence after officers responded to a 1000 block Ephriam Street home in reference to a disturbance at 2:53 p.m. April 15.

— An officer responded to the 2100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at 11:35 a.m. April 15 where a resident reported someone had stolen the catalytic converter form his son’s vehicle.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of Wilbert Avenue at 10:38 a.m. April 15 where a woman reported another woman was calling her names and accusing her of doing stuff. Officers found that the dispute was part of an ongoing issue and both individuals were told to stay away from each other.

— An officer responded to the 700 block of Wilbert Avenue at 9:04 a.m. April 15 in reference to a disturbance between a man and woman but the man had already left and the officer was unable to contact the woman.

— An out of state resident reported at 1:58 a.m. April 15 she was facetiming her enemy who lives on Erie Street and observed a man who looked like Santa Claus being held against his will. The caller became more erratic and started contradicting herself. An officer responded to the home in question and found the occupants, including a man with a gray beard, to be fine.

— A 400 block Morton Street resident reported at 10:21 p.m. April 14 someone entered his home and stole various tools.
