— A scam phone call was reported at a Buckeye Circle home at 10:37 p.m. Monday, with a victim scammed into sending $4,200 for a vehicle she was told she won. She was told to contact the shipping company to try to get the package back.

— A woman in the 1600 block of East State Street reported at 6:35 p.m. Monday that her 12-year-old foster daughter ran away from the residence, then police received a call from a homeowner in the 1800 block of Cleveland Street who found a 12-year-old in his back yard. Officers made contact with the girl and her foster mother responded. The juvenile was transported to Akron Children’s Hospital by KLG for mental health issues.

— A suspicious gray van was reported parked near the city wastewater treatment plant blocking the gate Monday for 15 minutes. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived.

— Police were called at 5:40 p.m. Monday to a business in the 2300 block of East State Street for an irate customer. A store employee said everything was fine and the customer calmed down and was able to finish their business.

— Feng Chen, 21, West Wilson Street, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after the vehicle he was driving struck the rear of another westbound vehicle on West State Street driven by Kevin Burgess, 31, Arch Street, at 5:28 p.m. Monday. Burgess was taken to the hospital by fire medics for possibly injury.

— Brandi Headley, 32, Rose Drive, Lisbon, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after her westbound vehicle struck the rear of another westbound vehicle driven by Tammy Lloyd, 46, Beloit, at 6:22 p.m. Monday on East State Street near Ellsworth Avenue.

— Police were called at 2:59 p.m. Monday to the 100 block of Fair Avenue for a lost dog. The caller agreed to take care of the dog until the owner can be found. Photos of the dog were placed on social media to help locate the owner.

— A property owner in the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue reported at 2:14 p.m. Monday that an unknown person (not his tenant) filled his dumpster full of trash without his permission.

— A woman reported harassment at 1:54 p.m. Monday in the 900 block of East Fifth Street, saying a known female has been coming into her place of employment and asking staff members about an incident that happened several days ago. She doesn’t want the other female harassing staff members. Officers made contact with the other female, who said she wouldn’t go back to the business but was asking about the woman’s involvement in an incident at the female’s business. She said she didn’t want the woman or her husband back in her place of business.

— A verbal neighbor dispute was reported at 1:36 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Penn Avenue. Both agreed to stay away from each other.

— A woman on Monroe Street reported at 12:43 p.m. Monday that she received a letter from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services regarding unemployment and the pandemic. She said she never filed for unemployment and has had a job consistent for 20 years. She wasn’t out any money and advised other agencies.

— Police were called at 12:05 p.m. Monday to the 300 block of Penn Avenue for an intoxicated female yelling outside the apartment complex. Police located the female, who had been drinking, but denied yelling. She said it was another female yelling. Three other residents outside said they did not hear the woman in question yelling.

— A woman in the 100 block of Rose Avenue reported Monday morning that the upstairs neighbor keeps coming into her apartment and messing with her food. The upstairs neighbor could be reached.

— Police were called at 10:01 a.m. Monday to the car dealership at 400 Legacy Lane where a 2016 Ram 3500 was stolen.

— Police responded at 8:34 a.m. Monday to the 600 block of South Broadway Avenue to speak with a person about a previous employee. The employee was not there.
