County Sheriff

— Deputies responded at 7 a.m. Friday in the 22000 block of Route 30 for a resident who believed someone was squatting in his shed.

St. Clair Township

— Holly Weyand, no address listed, was arrested at 12:47 p.m. July 8 on a charge of criminal trespass at Walmart.

— Walmart reported at 10:50 a.m. July 9 that a subject attempted to pick up an online order that was purchased with a stolen credit card number. The investigation still is continuing.

— Rachel Jenkins, no address listed, was arrested at 1:50 p.m. July 9 on a charge of theft, after failing to pay for $95.45 worth of merchandise in the self-checkout lane.

— Dereck Brooks, no address listed, was arrested at 3:20 p.m. July 9 on a charge of theft, after failing to pay for $177.34 worth of merchandise in the self-checkout lane.

— A woman in the 48000 block of Belmont Avenue reported at 10:52 a.m. July 9 that a neighbors’ dogs had gotten into her chicken coop and killed four of the birds. This wasn’t the first time, she alleged. The dog warden arrived to find the dogs still in the coop and take them into custody.

— Trevor K. Heiney, no address listed, was arrested at 1:28 p.m. July 9 on a charge of failure to comply, a third-degree felony, after a brief pursuit. Police attempted to stop Heiney on Route 267 near Cannon Mills Road and attempted to stop him for fictitious plates. Heiney then sped off at 70 mph in a 35 mph zone, traveling left of center due to his level of speed before traveling into Wellsville, where a witness on Wells Hollow Road called the sheriff to report spotting the suspected vehicle from the pursuit and both occupants fleeing into the woods from her driveway. The total distance of the pursuit was 3.6 miles. Heiney also had multiple warrants for his arrest.

— About a week later, Heiney, no address listed, was arrested at 11:12 am. July 15 in the 100 block of Maine Boulevard by officers who were accompanied by U.S. Marshals and Columbiana County Sheriff’s deputies, after receiving information that he was at this residence. He had multiple misdemeanor warrants through the county as well as felony warrants through East Liverpool Municipal Court and an active parole violation warrant. Cheyenne Garvis, Heiney’s girlfriend, and Donna Aber, both no address listed, were arrested on charges of obstructing justice for allowing Heiney to stay at their residence without contacting police.

— A woman came on station shortly after noon July 9 to report that she was receiving calls from a subject whom she has a restraining order against.

— Police responded at 12:16 a.m. July 11 to the 49000 block of Calcutta Smith Ferry Road for a suicidal individual.

— An Irish Ridge Road woman reported at 11:37 a.m. July 12 that she received a letter from the Pennsylvania Turnpike identifying the license plate on a vehicle she recently sold as going through a toll booth.

— Vallerie Caffro, no address listed, was involved at 10:08 a.m. July 12 in the 15000 block of St. Clair Avenue in a crash. The manager of the bank, where the crash occurred in the parking lot, wants a report on file in case there was repairs needed.

— Eric D. McQueen Jr., no address listed, was cited at 12:07 p.m. July 13 near St. Clair Avenue and McGuffey Drive on charges of driving under suspension and drug paraphernalia, after a digital scale was located in his center console during a traffic stop.

— Jereme Dailey, no address listed, was arrested at 12:47 p.m. July 14 in the 15000 block of state Route 170 on a charge of drug paraphernalia, after allegedly being discovered passed out in a parked vehicle. Upon waking him up, the office observed a white, folded straw inside his right rear pocket with white residue. Dailey alleged that the substance was heroin.

— A new resident of the Beaver Creek Mobile Home Park reported at 8:25 a.m. July 15 that she received two packages for the home’s previous occupants and they had been stolen.

— Samantha Cornell, no address listed, was arrested at 3:52 p.m. July 15 in the 16000 block of Dresden Avenue on a charge of theft for failing to pay for $101.15 worth of merchandise.

— A drug overdose was reported at 7:44 p.m. July 16 on a charge of 15000 block of Maple Drive.

— Michael Sayre, no address listed, was arrested at 2:28 p.m. July 17 in Walmart on a theft charge, after allegedly failing to pay for $150.80 worth of merchandise.

— Scott Shreve, no address listed, was arrested at 7:07 p.m. July 17 in Walmart on a theft charge, after allegedly attempting to return a new automotive battery that he had pulled from the shelf and attempting to take several items from multiple departments. He allegedly failed to pay for $315.80 worth of merchandise.

— Brandy Avery, no address listed, was arrested at 9:05 p.m. July 18 near Gretchen’s Lock on a drug paraphernalia charge, after police were dispatched to check on the welfare of a park car. During a search of the vehicle, a glass smoking device commonly used for methamphetamine was discovered along with a syringe.

— Angela Pascuzzi, no address listed, was arrested at 11:53 p.m. July 19 on a charge of menacing by stalking, after telling a female subject on an audio recording that she was dead and so are her kids.

— Thomas G. Reed Jr., no address listed, was arrested at 10:09 a.m. July 20 on a charge of theft, after allegedly failing to pay for $304.59 worth of merchandise.

— An anonymous tipster reported at 12:32 a.m. July 20 that a group was encouraging others to do burnouts in the parking lot.

— Police responded at 10:55 p.m. July 20 to assist the fire department with an alarm drop at the Quality Inn, where one of the firemen had smelled marijuana emitting from one of the rooms. No one was present in the room.

— An auto body shop reported at 6:44 p.m. July 20 that someone had cut the catalytic converter off one of their vehicles, damaging the floor panels.

— Officers accompanied firefighters at 12:50 p.m. July 21 to a car fire in the 16000 block of Coolidge Street.

— A neighbor dispute over camera tampering was reported at 2:43 p.m. July 22 in the 50000 block of Grimms Bridge Road.

East Liverpool

— A Vine Street man reported at 8:56 p.m. July 21 that his neighbors had been harassing him.

— Police stopped by on Jennings Randolph Bridge at 8:44 a.m. July 21 while a Chester police cruiser executed a traffic stop on the Ohio side, standing by while the officer searched the vehicle and wrote a citation.

— Martin Schwartz, no address listed, was arrested at 12:47 a.m. Thursday in the first block of Lisbon Street on a charge of public intoxication, after he was discovered lying of the side of the road due to his high level of intoxication.

— Mykah Andric, no address listed, was cited at 1:46 a.m. Friday on charges of stop sign and expired license near Parkway and Anderson.

— Officers investigated a suspicious person near the former Maxi’s Lunch box on Harvey Avenue.

— Joshua Elliott, no address listed, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Saturday on charges of public intoxication and open container outside Scotty’s Bar. He also had an active warrant out of East Liverpool Municipal Court.

Chester

— Travis McKinnon, of Chester, W.Va., was arrested on two charges of destruction of property and attempted grand larceny.

— Gregory Daugherty, of Newell, W.Va. was on a charge of failure to report to jail.

— John Mercer, of Chester, W.Va., was served a petit larceny warrant.

— Gerald McPherson, Enon Valley, Pa., was arrested on charges of public intoxication and obstruction.

— Devon Noland, of Chester, W.Va., was arrested on charges of domestic battery and bond violation.

Salem

— Police responded at 8:48 p.m. Friday to the 200 block of North Cunningham Road to check on first responders for a fall victim.

— A case of alleged email hacking was documented at 6:07 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of East Seventh Street.

— A possible gas leak was reported at 4:24 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of East Third Street.

— Officers checked on a possible shots fired call at 9:43 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of Continental Drive.

— An argument between a mother and an adult daughter was reported at 9:20 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of Rose Avenue.

— No citations were noted at 3:58 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of North Union when Brennan Jo Hodos, of Woodland Avenue, allegedly struck the left rear of a legally parked vehicle belonging to Matt McGlone of Canfield.

— A parking complaint was made at 9:43 a.m. Friday in the 1000 block of East State Street regarding a trailer parked in a lot blocking several spaces. The trailer was moved without incident, after the vehicle owner realized the business was open.

— A complaint was forwarded the juvenile officer at 9:35 p.m. Friday regarding threats made via social media by one juvenile to another.

— Loud music was reported at 11:25 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Lundy Avenue.

— A subject in the 200 block of South Broadway Avenue spoke with an officer around 8:28 p.m. Friday regarding issues with her daughter’s ex-boyfriend.

— An officer responded at 6:48 p.m. Friday to the 500 block of North Lincoln Avenue for an injured squirrel.

— Police investigated suspicious activity at an abandoned building in the area of Lundy Avenue and Cherry Street at 12:26 p.m. Friday.

— A standby for property exchange was performed at 7:35 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

— An illegally parked vehicle was reported at 9:44 a.m. Friday in th 1300 block of Robin Avenue.

— Vacationing residents reported at 12:39 p.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of North Lincoln Avenue that they returned to find their pool as well as a hose to an air conditioning unit had been punctured.

— Theft charges were pursued for an incident at 12:57 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of East State Street, where a male subject shoplifted an alcoholic beverage.

— Police responded to 4:45 p.m. Saturday in the 2200 block of East State Street, where a male subject had been picking up his drive-thru order and employees thought he was naked. He had short blue shorts on with no shirt.

— A woman in the 200 block of Jennings Avenue reported at 3:48 p.m. Saturday that an unknown subject had stole her prescription medication from her unlocked residence.

— Officers responded at 1:19 a.m. Saturday to the 500 block of South Broadway, were a male subject had jumped his friend in the bathroom. Both are allegedly intoxicated.

— Loud music was reported at 12:50 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of West Fifth Street.

— An intoxicated person was provided a courtesy transport from a residence in the 400 block of West Pershing Street at 2:50 a.m. Saturday.

— Police spoke to persons at 2:35 p.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of East State Street regarding their threatening comments against each other.

— No citations were issued at 9:01 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of East State Street when one vehicle hit another while attempting to pull out of a parallel parking spot. No driver information was noted in the incident report.
