Salem

— Officers at 10:14 p.m. Thursday saw a suspicious male with a table saw in the 100 block of North Broadway. He said he just picked up the saw from his boss, which police confirmed.

— Police responded at 8:29 p.m. Thursday to the 700 block of East Third Street to check on a 911 hangup call, but didn’t locate anyone.

— Officers responded at 8:04 p.m. Thursday to the 400 block of Continental Drive for a possible disorderly person. The person was told they could face disorderly charges if the behavior continued. They said they would go in for the night and calm down.

— A case of fraud was reported at 6:29 p.m. Thursday on Sharp Avenue where a resident said secret shopper allegedly sent a check, which he cashed and then bought gift cards with the money. The gift cards have since been emptied out when he called in the numbers.

— A dirt bike was reported in the road on West Wilson at the railroad tracks at 5:27 p.m. Thursday, but wasn’t found.

— Police responded at 1:58 p.m. Thursday to the 700 block of North Lincoln Avenue for a juvenile acting out and allegedly attempting to hurt his parent. The juvenile made comments of self-harm and fire department first responders and EMT assessed him. EMT took him to Akron Children’s Hospital in Boardman for further evaluation.

— A caller at 1:08 p.m. Thursday reported two men walking very close to the tracks near Allen Road, but nobody was found.

— A woman on Continental Drive reported at 11:36 a.m. Thursday that the person who had her power of attorney wouldn’t give her money when requested. She was told to contact her attorney or the courts.

— A 911 hangup call was reported at 11:34 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue, but police found no emergency.

Perry Township

— Police responded at 12:09 p.m. Friday to Conser Drive to check on a man who contacted his doctor for pain relief and made a comment about self-harm. He refused to go to the hospital and told police he would wait for a friend to get off work to take him.

— Officers at 6:57 a.m. Friday assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a rollover accident on state Route 45 south of Golf Club Lane, providing traffic control with the township fire department.

— Dennis Robinson, 72, of Clymer, Pa., was cited for reasonable control after an accident at 6:04 a.m. Friday on the U.S. Route 62/45 interchange. He said he didn’t see the end of the road. Sinsley’s Towing removed the vehicle, which sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

— Gunfire was reported at 12:09 a.m. Friday on Harding Avenue with nothing found.

— A woman on Prospect Street reported at 9:52 p.m. Thursday that she was getting threats from her ex-boyfriend, who wanted his belongings. Police stood by while he retrieved his things from the porch.

— A man at 6:40 p.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of West State Street reported he was cleaning up the bathroom and found a black folded up piece of paper between the toilet seat and the wall. He had called about suspected narcotics, saying a male recently overdosed in the bathroom. The suspected narcotics were seized by police.

— Police handled an open burning complaint on Benton Road at 6:17 p.m. Thursday. The man said he was done and the fire was almost out.

East Liverpool

— A resident of the 1100 block of Oakwood Street reported at 5:47 p.m. Tuesday that his vehicle was vandalized.

— A welfare check was performed on a woman at 1:46 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of North Shadylane Drive.

— A parking citation was issued at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Sixth and Monroe streets.

— Police investigated an alleged domestic at 2:11 p.m. in the 800 block of Cadmus Street.

— Homer Linger, no address listed, was served at 9:41 a.m Wednesday in the 700 block of Dresden Avenue for outstanding warrants out of Pennsylvania.
