County Sheriff

— Deputies responded to a Grant Street, Center Township, home at 12:41 a.m. Friday where Angela D. Howe, 46, was charged with two counts of assault for allegedly harming Timothy Adkins and Nicole Klink. Howe was transported to the county jail.

— A man reportedly was making threats with a knife at a Lusk Lock Road, Elkrun Township, at 3:41 p.m. Sunday. Brian Campbell, 33, was charged with domestic violence. Deputies also found suspected narcotics in the home and charges are pending lab results.

— A Sentry safe was found broken and dumped off near Gate G off of Case Road, Beloit, and deputies recovered it at 11 a.m. Sunday.

— Threats and harassment reported in the 3100 block of McCracken Road at 11:49 a.m. Sunday were determined to be a civil issue.

— A possible domestic dispute was reported in the 2600 block of South 12th Street, Knox Township, at 1:32 p.m. Sunday. Deputies learned the man involved was making suicidal threats and was transported by Beloit EMS for an evaluation. He will face a criminal damaging citation.

— A Wayne Bridge Road, Center Township, woman, who reportedly took pills because she was upset after an argument with her boyfriend, voluntarily went to the hospital for treatment at 7:14 p.m. June 15.

— A Rochester Road, West Township, man reported at 10:39 a.m. June 12 someone stole his phone from his house.

— An elderly woman having medical problems at 2:03 p.m. June 12 at a Bayview Drive, Knox Township home, was eventually pink slipped so she could be transported to the hospital by EMS.

— A Wayne Bridge Road, Center Township, woman reported at 6 p.m. June 15 her goat may have been stolen or was missing. The goat was found the next day in a culvert and was reunited with her owner.

— A domestic dispute was reported on Y and O Road in Madison Township at 10:19 p.m. June 15. It was found to be an argument and the two people involved had separated for the night.

— A hold up alarm at 3:46 p.m. May 30 at the Taco Bell on state Route 45, Lisbon, was found to have been set off accidentally.

— A Desellem Road, Madison Township, woman reported at 3:13 a.m. Sunday a man she knows came into her home and caused a disturbance, but she signed a refusal to prosecute him.

— A fight was reported at the dead end of Grant Street, Lisbon, at 7:10 p.m. Sunday. Deputies found one man who had been involved, but who claimed he did not know the other person involved. Deputies spoke to neighbors, who said they saw nothing.

— Deputies assisted on McDaniel Street in West Township at 6:41 a.m. Friday where someone needed to go to a hospital.

— A Middleton Road, Fairfield Township, woman reported hearing gunfire in the area at 10:46 p.m. Sunday. Deputies checked the area, but were unable to find anyone.

Lisbon

— A Sherman Street man reported at 3:45 p.m. Sunday his vehicle had been struck sometime during the night. At around 10:30 p.m. the man heard something outside and thought at the time it was raccoons, but in the morning he found damage to his car bumper and passenger rear fender.

— Bricks were reported in the roadway in front of Circle K at 7:55 p.m. Friday. Police found a child about to throw a larger rock onto the street, where there were already three rocks laying on the road along with two bricks. The boy was told to go get his mother and he admitted to throwing them.

— Friends on North Beaver Street reported at 6:06 a.m. Thursday they have been having problems with the woman friend being harassed by the man’s daughter, sending her text messages including a photo of her getting into the man’s truck. Police told both sides to stop communications.

— Police responded to a West Washington Street address at 5 p.m. June 13, where a woman the residents knew was reportedly overdosing and combative. She refused help from KLG and police. She calmed down and the people living there said she could stay provided there were no more problems.

— A couple was reported arguing in a red truck at Circle K at 3:23 a.m. June 15. Police found the woman standing alone next to the dumpster while the man was filling the truck at the pump. At first they claimed not to need police assistance, but police were called again due to them arguing. It was determined the man had a suspended license and she has no license so they were told reach someone to pick them up or drive the vehicle. But after multiple attempts they could not reach anyone with a valid license who could pick them up. One officer ended up driving them to the man’s mother’s home in Salem and Circle K agreed to let them park the trailer there for the night.

— A vehicle was spotted leaving the parking lot at the Lisbon pool at 1:15 a.m. and police checked the registration of the vehicle, which appeared to be occupied by four children, who were nervously turning around to look at the cruiser. Concerned about recent vandalism at the park, police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the children, who all agreed to give police a phone number in case there is any signs of damage at the park the next day.

— Police responded to a South Green Street home at 4:57 p.m. June 14, after receiving a medical alarm. The woman told police she was fine and had just mailed the device back to the company. She believed it had been deactivated, but it may not have been.

— A West Washington Street man was reportedly leaning over a fence yelling and screaming at children in the swimming pool at 4:02 p.m. June 13. The man was no longer there when police arrived, but he was identified and police went to his home. He was yelling and slurring his words and when asked if he had been drinking, responded “maybe.” He was warned to stay in his apartment and quit screaming out the window.

— An East Washington Street woman reported at 5:54 a.m. June 7, her sons sneaked out of the house in the middle of the night with a man she knows and she was awakened by them sneaking back into their rooms. The man was passed out drunk on her couch. When she questioned her sons she learned the man had taken them out mudding in the middle of the night, before getting the Jeep stuck and getting a ride back to her home with the boys. The man left when he heard she had called police. She told police she just wanted the man gone from her house and she would handle her sons.

— A stolen vehicle was reported in the 200 block of Maple Street at 7:31 a.m., June 10. The woman said she left her 2006 Honda Odyssey van parked on Maple Street overnight with the keys in it. Police entered it as stolen in the database about the same time the highway patrol had ran the same registration. The vehicle had been found wrecked on state Route 164 between Kelly Park and Metz Roads.

— Police responded at 11:18 p.m. June 7 to the area of Allay Senior Car after learning a man had fled the facility and was attempting to flag down vehicles in the area of North Beaver and Pendleton Streets. The man was found to be confused and unaware of his surroundings. His son was contacted and the man was taken to Salem Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

— Police stopped a vehicle at the state Route 11 on ramp at 6:26 p.m. June 15 and saw the passenger holding an open 25-ounce can of Busch beer between his legs. Donald McDole was cited with open container.

— A domestic dispute between a father and his young daughter was reported at 2:56 p.m. Wednesday, which resulted in the 12-year-old daughter running down state Route 154. The girl was then found running on Moore Street and heading around the bend to East Chestnut Street with her father trying to catch her. When she saw police she stopped and her father grabbed her. With her screaming for him to let her go, police had her sit in the back of the cruiser. Police asked her where she lived and had the sheriff’s office meet everyone there since it was there jurisdiction on Harvey Street. Police drove her home and allowed deputies to handle it.
