— A man in the 2000 block of Ohio Avenue reported at 4:23 p.m. Thursday that he received a call from an unidentified calling, relaying that he had set up a life insurance policy to be the beneficiary in the event of the complainant’s death and he was coming to kill him.

— A Bradshaw Avenue woman reported at 7:41 p.m. Thursday that someone slashed three of her four tires.

The report noted that when the officer attempted to put handcuffs on, he tensed up and would not give the officer both hands. This officer had to take Ward to the ground to try and get the other cuff on, and he again forcibly resisted. It doesn’t note if he was charged with resisting.

After a consent search, the occupants of a suspicious vehicle were patted down. A rack pipe, small cellophane baggie with marijuana in it, two more pieces of cellophane containing alleged crack cocaine and a burnt marijuana cigarette were discovered on Slagle’s person or in the center console next to the driver’s seat. All items were taken into evidence.

–Police responded at 8:14 p.m. Wednesday to a dispute between coaches of the Leetonia 10 U team and a visiting team at the Franklin Square baseball field. The league has banned the visiting coach from returning to their fields.
–An alleged victim reported at 5:34 p.m. Thursday in the 6900 block of St. Jacob Logtown Road that he had been threatened.
–Deputies responded at 5:54 p.m. Thursday to the 10000 block of state Route 45 for reports of loud cannons at the Sportsman Club.

–A domestic in progress was reported at 12:41 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Vine Avenue. A woman reported her live-in boyfriend had pushed her down. But he said she fell due to her intoxication level while he was trying to assist her to bed. No injuries were observed.
–Yelena S. Post, of North Ellsworth Avenue, was arrested at 10:25 p.m. Friday on a fugitive of justice warrant during a property line dispute.
–Police responded at 8:45 p.m. Friday to the area of Lincoln and Superior, where a complainant had allegedly that a subject had been tailgating her and yelling obscenities. The vehicle in question was unable to be located.
–A wallet discovered at Bob Evans was placed in the station lost and found at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
–John Lafleme, of Brooklyn Avenue, was arrested at 6:41 p.m. Friday on a theft charge, after allegedly stealing a cell phone and reselling it.
–A four-vehicle chain reaction crash was reported at 5:04 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of East State Street. Conner Higgins, of Westward Way in Lisbon, was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance, after rearending Katlyn Bilbo, of South Washington Street in East Palestine. Also involved were Nathan Krupp, of North Market Street in Lisbon, and Kristopher Certo, of Greeneville, Tenn.
–A neighbor dispute over loud music was reported at 4:06 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of North Lincoln Avenue.
–Police observed off-road vehicles operating at 6:39 p.m. Friday in the Walmart parking lot and advised them of the law.
–A loud persons complaint was issued at 8:59 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of Jennings Avenue.
–A domestic dispute was reported at 4:47 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of North Lundy Avenue.
–Officers responded at 1 p.m. Friday to the 900 block of Barclay Avenue for a male apparently under the influence. He did actively use an illegal inhalant in front of officer before coming outside and being combative with officers. He then was restrained for his own safety and transported to the hospital. The information is being sent to the prosecutor for possible charges.
–A set of keys was placed inside the police lost and found at 9 a.m. Friday. No location of their recovery was given.
–Police responded at 11:30 a.m. Friday to the 1500 block of West View Avenue to take a fraud report.
