— Cody Phillips, Canal Street, Hanoverton, was charged with assault Saturday for shooting a BB type rifle several times at a neighbor. The woman suffered minor injuries.
— Two people saw someone littering on Pine Hollow Road at 3:30 p.m. April 11. They confronted the person who said he was cleaning out the car. After he left, the people contacted the sheriff’s office. A deputy responded and saw that the debris had been cleaned up.
— Deputies responded to a DOA after East Palestine EMS requested assistance at 7:20 a.m, Friday at a state Route, 14, Unity Township home.
— A deputy talked to two women April 10 at a U.S. 30, West Township home about an eviction. The two agreed to exchange property and separate.
— A woman on Quay Road reported April 10 someone was dumping trash on her property. A deputy spoke to the man who agreed to clean it up. That satisfied the woman.
— A welfare check Saturday at a state Route 14, Unity Township, home found the man fine. He has hadn’t had a chance to call anyone back yet.
— A deputy responded to the Hanoverton post office at 11 p.m. April 12 where a mail truck had its hazard lights on. The deputy check to make sure the truck and post office were locked. They were.
— A Lower Elkton Road, Fairfield Township, resident reported at midnight Thursday someone was knocking on the door asking for help. The man told deputies he had gotten into a fight at a nearby home. He had several bumps and abrasions. His other arrived and took him to the hospital. The man said he did not want to file any report with the sheriff’s office, highway patrol or Columbiana police.
— Deputies and highway patrol troopers responded at 12:30 a.m. Thursday to Smith Auto on state Route 45 in Elkrun Township for a report of people underneath a vehicle. They did not find anyone. The owner arrived and did not see any damage. A security video will be reviewed.
— Deputies went to Roseland Commons near Lisbon at 3 a.m. Thursday to remove an unwanted person. The man was taken to Circle K and told not to come back. The female resident was advised to have the man placed on the trespass list.
— An East Liverpool Road, Liverpool Township, woman reported Wednesday her ex-boyfriend was harassing her on social media, calling and texting her and coming to her home while intoxicated and causing problems. She was told how to obtain a protection order. The case also will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.
— A newspaper delivery driver at 4:30 a.m. Saturday reported debris on Bye Road near McClure in Unity Township. A deputy found several piles of what appeared to be construction material such as a large utility tub and panels of metal roofing. The deputy removed the debris and had dispatch contact the county road department to pick it up in the future.
— A Steubenville Pike man reported Friday he is receiving harassing calls and letters from two others. They claimed the man’s son took a sander from them. The man was told to consider a protection order.
