— An officer responded to a 300 block Columbia Street business at 1:33 p.m. Friday in reference to a male passed out in the restroom. The officer found the 24-year-old male from Youngstown passed out sitting on a toilet. Upon waking the male was very disoriented and could not answer questions. Leetonia EMS arrived and transported the male to the Salem hospital. Evidence of drug abuse was found on the floor next to the male, who admitted to using meth.


— Police investigated a suspicious male at 7:22 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of East State Street. It was learned he sustained injuries, so he received medical treatment at the scene and walked away without incident.

— A dog bite was reported by a mail carrier at 9:27 a.m. Friday in the 1000 block of Cleveland Street. The dog’s owner was notified that the health department will be in contact with her.

— A possible overdose was reported at 11:10 a.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Southeast Boulevard. The subject was transported via ambulance to the hospital.

— Miran Milla, 547 Continental Drive, was cited at 12:01 p.m. Friday in the Dollar General parking lot with no operator’s license, after backing into another car.

— Officers were dispatched at 5:50 p.m. Friday to the 200 block of North Lincoln Avenue for a distraught person, who sent them away.

— Police responded at 7:11 p.m. Friday to the 1700 block of North Ellsworth Avenue for an alleged domestic in progress involving a knife; however, there was no weapons involved and it was completely verbal in nature.

–After being sent at 1:03 a.m. Sunday to the 500 block of East Fourth Street for a possible domestic, police learned that the subjects were just yelling because their football team won their playoff game.

–Two subjects drew charges after a 12:19 a.m. Sunday traffic stop in the 400 block of Pershing Street. Alexa M. Hover, of Fair Avenue, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon, while Anthony C. Smith, of South Howard Avenue, was cited for driving under suspension. K-9 Simon was deployed and indicated on the presence of a narcotic odor, which was traced back to drug paraphernalia and a fixed blade on Hover’s person. She also was served with an active warrant. Charges may be pending based on crime lab tests for the paraphernalia and narcotics seized.

–Safety personnel were dispatched at 5:45 pm. Saturday to the 1100 block of South Lincoln Avenue for a welfare check and found that the resident had fallen and needed medical attention.

–Officers were dispatched at 10:04 a.m. Saturday to the 400 block of West Fourth Street to assist the fire department with a combative patient.

–An unknown subject had entered a construction trailer and took several power tools without permission sometime before 8:56 a.m. Saturday in the 2300 block of East State Street.

Salem Township

— Police reported at 8:32 p.m. Saturday in the 2200 block of state Route 45 that a woman’s daughter borrowed a DVD movie and is refusing to return it.

St. Clair Township

— Rilee Smith, no address listed, was arrested at 3:52 p.m. Thursday in the 15000 block of Sprucevale Road on a charge of domestic violence, after she allegedly struck her husband in the upper right lip while riding with her husband near state Route 170 and Midland-Fredericktown Road.

— Robert Arnold, no address listed, was served at 12:56 a.m. Thursday in Old Farm Village with active warrants.

— K-9 Noras was deployed at 3:42 p.m. Wednesday in the first block of Maplewood Avenue for a traffic stop in East Liverpool. A subsequent search found possible narcotics, after he indicated to the presence of narcotic odor.

— Police responded to 3:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 15000 block of East Liverpool to remove an unwanted subject.

— Harley Gill, no address listed, was served at 6:04 p.m. with an active warrant in the 16000 block of Dresden Avenue, after officers responded to a disabled vehicle at Walmart intersection.

— A victim reported that she had been contacted several times by a computer repair service sometime before 5:23 p.m. Jan. 11 in the 50000 block of Calcutta Smithferry Road.

East Liverpool

— Police responded to 9:36 a.m. Friday to the 500 block of Sugar Street for a subject, who formerly lived in the residence, in the house which was supposed to be abandoned because it was her deceased grandmother’s home.

— A request to remove a disabled vehicle off private property was investigated at 4:07 p.m. Friday in 2500 block of Parkway Avenue.

— Officrs were patrolling the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue at 11:17 a.m. Friday when they observed a parked vehicle at a known drug location. The subjects were patted down for weapons and a box of unused syringes, while a clear bag of suspected methamphetamine was located in the door handle of the rear seat behind the driver where the subject had been sitting. The car was impounded and substance taken for testing.

— An officer conducted a welfare check at 10:20 p.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Globe Street, after receiving calls that this resident had made threats against parents who live in Kenton.

— A subject reported at 11:36 a.m. Thursday in the 2500 block of Parkway Avenue that a vehicle of unwanted intoxicated subjects showed up at her house and wouldn’t leave. One of the subjects chased her onto her porch, where he was maced before leaving.

— A female subject reported at 6:10 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of Maplewood Avenue that her children’s father threatened her.

— Officers responded to a report of a fight at 12:06 p.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of Ephriam Street. It was purely verbal the combatants reported.

— A driver with Tri-State cab reported at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of St. Clair Avenue that a passenger stiffed him on his fare after he took him to an alley on St. George Street and back to St. Clair Avenue.

— Police responded at 10:33 a.m. Jan. 11 to the Broadway Wharf for a possible overdose near the river. Upon contact, they made contact with two juvenile females, one of which were acting strangely. They were transported to the hospital and their families notified, as the one appeared highly intoxicated with an open liter of vodka sitting next to her.
