Sheriff’s office

— Matthew Ray Young was taken into custody following a traffic stop on state Route 172 east of Lisbon at 10 a.m. Friday. He was wanted on a warrant from West Virginia with full extradition for a parole violation from a homicide charge. Suspected narcotics were found on him as well as $1,255. The cash and three phones were seized due to the belief they were involved in the selling of drugs. His girlfriend, Bria Lane, and her 4-year-old son also were in the car and she is facing possession and child endangering charges pending test results of the drugs. Young was charged with fugitive from justice and also faces further charges.

— A man reported Friday afternoon his grandmother and uncle had left around 3 p.m. the previous day and did not return. He said they go on small trips frequently but usually return around dinner time the same day. They were entered as missing persons.

Salem

— Officers investigated a reported fight at 9:01 p.m. March 14 in the 1800 block of Pearce Circle. It was just some juveniles playing.

— Welfare checks were conducted at 9:35 p.m. March 14 in the 500 block of East Fourth Street, at 2:06 p.m. March 13 in the 500 block of Walnut Street, at 11:50 p.m. March 12 in the 500 block of North Union Avenue.

— An alleged fraud complaint was filed at 4:08 p.m. March 14 in the 300 block of Ohio Avenue.

— Police found a disabled semi at 1:37 p.m. March 14 in the 400 block of North Lincoln Avenue.

— Drive offs were reported at 1:34 p.m. March 14 with $20.01 in fuel and $13.50 in fuel at 6:36 a.m. March 13 from stations in the 900 block of East State Street.

— A reported breaking and entering was a mistake at 11:33 a.m. March 14 in the 300 block of South Lincoln.

–Officers investigated a possible domestic at 12:54 a.m. March 14 in the 200 block of West Pershing Street. Charges may be pending.

— A parked vehicle was sideswiped in the Walmart parking lot by a white transport bus at 9:11 p.m. March 13.

— Suspicious activity near Busy Beaver was investigated at 8:11 p.m. March 11.

— Police were unable to make contact with a reckless vehicle at 6:23 p.m. March 13 in the 500 block of South Ellsworth Avenue.

— Officers responded to a neighbor dispute over driveway access at 3:43 p.m. March 13 in the 1000 block of Cleveland Street.
