— Shane M. Meade, 40, Ridge Street, Leetonia, was arrested on an active warrant after officers responded with Columbiana police to the area of state Route 344 just outside village limits at 10:54 a.m. Dec. 30 when a motorist reported seeing him walking along the roadway and knew he had been reported missing.
— An officer responded to the area of Main Street across from the Eagles at 11:19 p.m. Jan. 1 in reference to a man who had fallen. The officer found the victim lying on the ground and bleeding from the head. The victim was taken to SRMC.
— Dale E. Mackall, 68, Bye Drive, East Palestine, was charged with OVI following a traffic stop at Walnut and Hope streets at 9:38 p.m. Friday.
— A 300 block Pearl Street resident reported at 1:15 a.m. Saturday two juveniles with flashlights in the area. The officer found the two female juveniles on Somer Street at the first alley off Lisbon Street and advised them they were out past curfew. They said they saw a dog running loose and had been attempting to catch it. They were advised to go home and stay there.
— An officer responded with medical personnel to a 300 block East Main Street, Washingtonville, home at 5:50 p.m. Saturday where the resident was not opening the door. A neighbor forced entry through a rear door and opened the front one for the medics. The neighbor agreed to secure the doors after the victim was transported to a hospital.
— An officer responded with Columbiana police to a 900 block Washington Street home at 1:08 a.m. Sunday after the sheriff’s office reported a possible domestic in progress. Officers spoke with a male on scene who said that his adult daughter was upset that the house was not clean. The daughter said her father was a danger to her and himself and had previously threatened suicide, and requested that he be transported to a hospital for evaluation. The officers told the woman the circumstances did not call for such action, at which time she became angry and verbally aggressive. Officers advised the father to contact police if there are further issues.
— An officer responded to a Madison Street business at 1:20 a.m. Sunday where a woman reported her ex-boyfriend, against whom she has a protection order, had arrived there and refused to leave. The ex-boyfriend had left before the officer arrived.
Goshen Police District
— Thomas J. Andrjwski, 77, Pine Lake Road, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on state Route 165 at U.S. Route 62 at 10 a.m. Friday in which he struck the rear of a vehicle in front of him, which was stopped at the intersection. No injuries were reported.
— Michael Snow, 44, Norton, Ohio, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on state Route 14 near Pine Lake Road at 1 a.m. Monday.
