— An alarm was reported at the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course, Homeworth Road, Knox Township at 7:44 a.m. Sunday. The doors and windows were secure when deputies arrived.
— A woman on state Route 154, Elkrun Township, reported at 1:48 p.m. Saturday someone was stealing her exotic pheasants, which she said are missing and there is no way for them to get out.
— Deputies assisted at a Kirk Road, Fairfield Township, address at 7:23 p.m. Sunday where a woman was transported to the hospital for evaluation after being suicidal.
— A Salem-Grange Road, Salem Township, man reported at 12:38 a.m. Sunday someone entered his home. Deputies and Perry Township police arrived, making contact with the man’s father, who was already there to check the home and did not find anything disturbed or missing.
— A fraud report was attempted to be filed at a Timber Run Street, Unity Township, address at 2:29 a.m. Sunday, where a couple was arguing over the phone and in separate rooms of the home. Deputies suggested they follow through with their attorneys due to the alleged fraudulent activities being the same as they had previously reported.
— A state Route 14, Unity Township, woman reported at 12:12 a.m. Sunday, her boyfriend had taken her vehicle went she told him not to because he was intoxicated. The woman gave deputies a statement and signed a refusal to prosecute.
— Shawn A. Carpenter, 62, of East Palestine, was cited for failure to control after she traveled off the side of Black Road in Lisbon and struck a fence at 5:39 p.m. Friday.
— A caller reported hearing the sound of breaking glass at the Stage Left playhouse at 8:06 a.m. Friday. An officer found some glass on the sidewalk near the front door but the building was found to be secure and intact.
— Police were called to a condominium at Greentree Place on Saturday by the landlord who said a tenant called with bathtub drain and baseboard heater complaints and asked he be there by 10 a.m. The landlord said he arrived at 9:40 a.m. only to see the tenant driving away. The landlord wanted a report on file because he has had problems before with the tenant.
— Sarah Bentley, 36, was arrested for OVI following a traffic stop at 12:51 a.m. Sunday.
— Officers located a juvenile in the area of Friend and Elm streets after curfew at 1:46 a.m. Sunday. Another juvenile that was also in the area ran from an officer and was stopped and arrested for a curfew violation and a drug violation.
— Brian J. Brooks, 47, was arrested for OVI following a traffic stop on South Market Street near Dairy Queen at 12:14 a.m. Wednesday. Brooks was also cited for speeding and a marked lanes violation.
— Township police assisted Salem officers on a traffic stop in the 1000 block of West State Street at 11:56 p.m. Sunday.
— The sheriff’s office requested assistance at 12:54 a.m. Sunday in the 35000 block of Salem Grange Road for a possible burglary. Police spoke with the homeowner and it was advised all was ok at the residence.
— Andre LC Vincent Hallman, 30, of Youngstown, was cited for driving under suspension after a traffic stop at 11:23 p.m. Saturday on South Lincoln Avenue at East Pidgeon Road. The vehicle was towed.
— Police responded at 7:38 p.m. Saturday to the 1700 block of Franklin Avenue (state Route 344) for a welfare check after a man said he had not spoken to his uncle in a few days. No one was home.
— A woman from the 1800 block of South Lincoln Avenue spoke with police at 5:50 p.m. Friday regarding an issue with her mail. She believes the mail isn’t being delivered to her mailbox. She spoke to the postal service but they required a police report to investigate. Police will attempt contact with the postal service.
— A residential alarm was reported at 5:28 p.m. Friday in the 1300 block of Brookview Drive. All windows and doors were secure.
— Police responded at 9:09 a.m. Friday to the 400 block of Benton Road for a report of suicidal threats. KLG transported the woman to the hospital.
— An officer on patrol at 12:37 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of Rose Avenue noticed a suspicious female. She was talking to an unoccupied police cruiser and started to walk away when officers asked her to stop. She finally stopped walking and when police spoke to her, it was apparent the female was having hallucinations. She was taken to SRMC.
— Police were called at 12:24 a.m. Monday to the 100 block of Rose Avenue for a person to be removed, but then the caller reported the person left and she was ok.
— Lester Lovett Jr., 27, of Klinger Avenue, Alliance, was charged with driving under suspension, possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 11:54 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of West State. K-9 Simon indicated to the presence of a narcotic odor and contraband was recovered. Lovett was taken into custody on the charges and taken to the county jail.
— An audible alarm was reported at 10:43 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of East Pershing An open door was located at the rear of the business. Officers checked the interior and found it clear. Officers resecured the building and advised the keyholder.
— A Salem man spoke to police at 10:14 p.m. Sunday regarding a child custody issue. After speaking with officers, he was told to contact his attorney for further direction and try to pick up the children on Monday.
— A reckless operator was reported at 8:31 p.m. Sunday on East Third near Highland Avenue, but no traffic violation was observed.
— Police conducted a traffic stop at 8:24 p.m. Sunday at South Lincoln and East State for a red light violation. The driver was given a verbal warning.
— Police were called at 8:35 p.m. Sunday to the 700 block of East Third for the possible theft of a dog. Officers spoke to a man and his girlfriend, but told them due to the uncertainty over who owned the dog, the issue was a civil matter for the courts.
— Officers responded at 5:33 p.m. Sunday to SRMC after emergency room staff wanted police present while telling a male police brought to the hospital earlier about his medical information, in case he got combative. He remained calm.
— Police checked a business in the 800 block of West State Street for a person to be removed at 5:02 p.m. Sunday, but the person was not found.
— A clerk at Smith Oil in the 900 block of East State Street reported at 3:21 p.m. Sunday that a man left without paying for $20 worth of gasoline.
— A suspicious duffel bag was reported in the 2200 block of East State Street at 3:09 p.m. Sunday. Police recovered the bag and located the owner, returning the bag.
— A possible burglary was reported at 2:28 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Jefferson Avenue where a resident said the door leading into his garage was damaged. An officer concluded it appeared as if someone tried to break into the home.
— Loud persons were reported at 11:18 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Vine Avenue. A man said he was having a bad day and wanted to harm himself. First responders and EMT ambulance arrived and he was taken to SRMC.
— Police assisted Goshen Township officers at 7:22 a.m. Sunday with locating a male involved in a crash in Goshen Township. Contact was made with the man on Buckeye Circle and he was told to call Goshen Township police.

— The owner of Hyper Energy LLC reported that $38,000+ worth of equipment was missing from his business in the 700 block of State Street, which had recently laid off the manager.
— No citation was issued at 1:20 p.m. Jan. 3 in the first block of West 3rd Street, after nearly striking a semi-truck when making a sudden lane switch. The uncharged driver initially denied having anything in the vehicle; however, K9 Nero alerted to the vehicle, locating marijuana shake in the vehicle. The driver later admitted that he panicked when he saw the cruiser, causing the near accident. He was advised to thoroughly clean out the vehicle and given a warning for the lane violation.
–Police witnessed a vehicle spin its tires after exiting a drive-thru located on Pennsylvania Avenue at 9:57 p.m. Jan. 3, and he was given a warning.
— Amy Corak, no address provided, was arrested at 9:37 p.m. Jan. 3 in the first block of Dresden Avenue on a charge of public intoxication. She was allegedly unable to stand up and was slurring her words. Although she denied consuming alcoholic beverages, she admitted taking two more pills of neurontin than she was supposed to. She was transported to East Liverpool City Hospital for medical treatment.
–Jason Brunner, no address provided, was arrested at 5:35 p.m. Jan. 3 in the first block of Dresden on a driving under suspension charge. He allegedly had court privileges; however, they were not covered to transport his children to someone else’s house.
