County Sheriff

— An man at a North Jefferson Street, Lisbon, home reported at 1:28 p.m. Friday, a domestic dispute which just happened at an Eagleton Road, Center Township, home. He and his live-in girlfriend had gotten into an argument and she wanted him out of the house. He told deputies as he was leaving, she was throwing his clothes out into the front yard. He said she shoved him and he shoved her back. He did not want any charged filed, just out of the house. Deputies took him back to get the rest of his belongings. The girlfriend just wanted him gone as well. He was transported back to the home on North Jefferson Street.

— An alarm brought deputies to a Butcher Road, Salem, at 1:38 a.m. Nov. 22. Deputies checked around the house and saw lights and the TV on. The owners were home an unaware the alarm activated.

— Suspicious activity was reported in the area of Waterford Road, Unity Township, at 12:55 a.m. Nov. 21. Deputies checked around the house and property, but found no one in the area.

— Deputies responded to a home on U.S. Route 30, West Township, where a disturbance was reported at 11:54 p.m. Sunday. Sharon C. Griffith-Weyandt, 49, was charged with disorderly conduct and transported to the county jail.

— Deputies checked a property near state Route 45, Center Township, at 5:35 a.m. Nov. 21 after someone reported a suspicious person. No evidence anyone was around was found.

— A Bandy Road, Homeworth, man reported at 2:43 p.m. Friday he was contacted by a collection agency seeking a $784 debt on a credit card through Synchrony Bank. He does not have a credit card through them and had thrown away mail he received from them without even opening it, believing it to be junk mail. Deputies gave him the case number for the collection agency and advised him to check his credit scores to make certain he has no other accounts in his name.

Highway Patrol

— Mark Soukup, 18, of Salineville, was cited for failure to control when he traveled off the side of Cusick Road in Madison Township, struck an embankment and overturned at 12:22 a.m. Thursday.

— Joseph Desalvo Jr., 43, of Salem, struck a deer on state Route 45 in Salem Township at 6:37 p.m. Saturday.

— George E. Gann, 28, of Houston, Texas, was struck by a coyote on state Route 172 in West Township at 7:34 p.m. Saturday.

— Patricia E. Willis, 24, of East Liverpool, struck a deer on state Route 7 in Elkrun Township at 2:48 a.m. Thursday. Willis was transported to a local emergency room with possible injuries.

Lisbon

— Police were called to a home on South Nelson Avenue in regard to an unconscious male. The officer remained until an ambulance arrived to transport him to a local hospital.

— Police responded to a report of an inoperable vehicle on North Beaver Street next to Brian’s Barbershop on Saturday afternoon. The tire had nearly come off the vehicle, and the driver said he had just purchased the vehicle several days before. A towing company was contacted to remove the vehicle.

— A social worker at the Kendall House at the county mental health center reported Wednesday being threatened by a female client who raised a fist as if she was going to punch her. A supervisor showed up and said they have been having problems with the client, who had been refusing to take her medication for weeks. An ambulance was called to transport her to a local hospital so she could get back on her medication routine.

— An elderly woman on West Washington Street was having trouble breathing on Sunday morning, so an ambulance was summoned.

Columbiana

— An officer assisted the East Palestine Police Department with a possible break in at a residence at 3:40 a.m. Sunday.

Salineville

— A Monroeville Heights man reported Sunday his girlfriend’s vehicle was stolen from his home. The vehicle was later found that night, left abandoned at the intersection of state Route 164 and Temme Road and the Highway Patrol had the vehicle towed by Complete Auto in Wellsville.

— A Salineville Road West woman reported on Sunday someone came into her home and stole her TV. The incident is under investigation.

— A Lincoln Street resident reported on Monday the neighbor’s dogs have been running loose. The owner of the dogs was called and warned to keep them on a leash or a citation would be issued.

— The sheriff’s office notified Salineville police of an alarm at the Dollar General Store on West Main Street. Police found the building secure.

–A State Street resident reported at 3:38 p.m. Saturday someone stole firewood from the property.

— Police assisted at a home on East Main Street, where a civil issue was unfolding at 2:15 p.m. Saturday.

— A suspicious person was reported on West Main Street at 1:18 p.m. Saturday. Police spoke to the person, who was a solicitor for Constellation Energy, which is licensed with the Public Utilities Commission. However, the man did not have a permit to solicit within the village and was told to stop and leave.

— A 2015 Chevy Silverado pickup was turning westbound from state Route 39 near the Railroad Auto Spa at 4:37 p.m. Nov. 23 and did not yield the right of way to the 2007 Dodge Caliber traveling westbound on East Man Street. The driver of the pickup, who was not listed on the report, was cited with failure to yield.

Goshen Police District

— Samuel L. Harper, 51, Cedarwood Drive, Beloit, was cited for driving under suspension and loud exhaust following a traffic stop on Fifth Street at Church Street in Beloit at 2:24 p.m. Nov. 26.

— Dylan James Heckman, 28, New Philadelphia, was arrested on two warrants out of Mahoning County for failure to appear after an officer responded to the Sebring Police Department to pick him up after he was arrested on two warrants out of the Goshen Police District for domestic violence and assault while at the Sebring court.
