— A man reported at 6:36 p.m. Thursday someone vandalized his truck while parked near his home on Lisbon Street, Hanoverton, stripping the bolts off the starter.
— A Depot Road man reported at 8:33 p.m. Thursday another man has his lawn tractor. Deputies spoke to the other man, who claimed the first man owes him $120 on the lawn tractor before it would belong to him. Deputies urged the first man to work out an agreement before consulting with the county Municipal Court.
— A state Route 7, Fairfield Township woman reported at 9:07 p.m. Thursday, someone she knows is sending her harassing text messages. Deputies spoke to the man, who agreed to stop all communications with her and block her on his phone to avoid future issues.
— A man was outside the gated driveway of a Scotts Mill Road home wanting to get inside to remove his belongings from the home at 7:24 a.m. Thursday. He had a domestic dispute with the woman who lives there and the landlord had told him to move off the property. Deputies spoke to the landlord, who confirmed he had asked him to leave and wanted him to call if he was going there. The man had texted the landlord at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, which upset the landlord and they exchanged words. The landlord agreed to let the man go onto the property to get his belongings. When his truck was full the man left the rest of his property sitting outside the house so he could come back for it, which the landlord agreed to as long as it was done on Thursday.
— A Forbes Road, Madison Township, man reported at 9:54 a.m. Thursday his wife saw a vehicle driving very slowly on the road and when the driver saw his wife was outside, the vehicle stopped, turned around and left in what appeared to be a hurried manner. Victims of a breaking and entering in the past, the couple wanted deputies to be aware of the suspicious grey SUV.
— Scott J. Evans, 34, Wellsville, was southbound on state Route 45 in Madison Township at 6:24 p.m. Tuesday and was struck by Richard A. Presutti, 75, Wellsville, who was eastbound on Crews Road and failed to yield. Presutti was cited for right of way and Evans was taken to the St. Elizabeth Hospital with minor injuries. Evans’ passengers, Kyle J. Evans, 9, Brittany Evans, 30, and Scott Evans, 11, all of Wellsville, were also taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for injuries. Another passenger, Shaun DeLauder, 4, Wellsville, was taken to East Liverpool Hospital with minor injuries.
— Cathy J. Huguenot, 51, Waynesburg, was westbound on U.S. 30 in Hanover Township at 4:48 p.m. Wednesday and went left of center off the left side and overturned down an embankment. She was cited for failure to control and taken to Aultman hospital with minor injuries.
— Curtis Franklin Hunt, 25, East Liverpool, and Stephanie M. Wolfe, 41, East Palestine, we’re northbound on state Route 170 in Middleton Township at 5 p.m. Tuesday and Hunt backed into Wolfe. Hunt was cited for improper backing.
— Kenneth A. Desellem, 58, Lisbon, was southbound on state Route 45 in Salem Township at 1:51 p.m. Monday and passed a mail trick and struck Anthony J. Danko, 32, Leetonia, who was also northbound on state Route 45. Desellem was cited for improper passing.
— A man was brought into the police station at 7:17 a.m. Wednesday after he was found passed out on the sidewalk on West Lincoln Way, and he did not know how to get home. The man’s mother was called to take him home.
— Police were called Tuesday to the home of Robert Vecchio, East Lincoln Way, to advise him he was no longer allowed inside Smith Oil and to remind him he had been banned from the premises. Vecchio said he understood.
— Drew K. Browne, Steubenville Pike was cited for driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop on North Beaver Street at 7:19 p.m. Wednesday. His passenger, Logan Snay, received a warning after two Bush Light bottles were found under his seat and he admitted they were his.
— Police received a complaint of a man on a bicycle threatening two other men as they were walking on North Market Street at 7:23 p.m. Wednesday. Christopher Haney and Richard Lipps reported that Richard Vecchio was drunk and threatening them. Another officer found Vecchio and told him to go home.
— Police responded to the Family Recover Center at 6:17 p.m. Tuesday about a man suspected of being high on drugs and the ambulance crew wanted some help, just in case. The man said he had been awake for five days and had not eaten much. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
— A worker at Children Services reported Wednesday receiving a phone message in which the caller said he was going to schedule an appointment and also “really (mess) her up.” Police called the man, who denied at first leaving the message. He was told to have no further contact with the worker or the agency, but continued to argue with the officer, who hung up.
— Joseph S. Glista, 59, Columbiana, was eastbound on state Route 14 entering into the left turn lane for state Route 7 at 1:58 p.m. Thursday when Rodney W. McHorney, 35, Wellsville, pulled from the Dunkin Donuts parking lot and was struck. McHorney was cited for failure to yield from a private drive.
— A Garfield Avenue resident reported at 8:24 a.m. Wednesday a man was walking around in his yard. Police checked but the man was no longer there.
— An East Main Street resident reported at 1:47 p.m. Thursday she received a scam call and had provided the caller with her personal information.
— K-9 Toney was requested at 3:48 p.m. Thursday for a sniff of a vehicle the highway patrol had stopped on Middle Beaver Road. K-9 Toney indicated on the vehicle and drugs were recovered.
— A Park Avenue resident reported at 5:52 p.m. Thursday her home had been burglarized.
