County Sheriff

–Pamela Sisco, Pancake-Clarkson Road, Middleton Township, reported Thursday her 50-inch TV was stolen, but she called back to say it had been returned.

–Marsha K. Malinsky, 61, of New Waterford, drove into the post office building in Rogers at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Inside at the desk were Jody M. Rhodes, 28, of New Waterford, and Evelyn M. Koch, 71, of Rogers, with Rhodes suffering minor injuries from the flying glass. Malinsky said she has been having trouble regulating her sugar and took some medication immediately prior to the accident.. EMTs called to the scene checked Malinsky and found her blood sugar levels had returned to the normal range, but she declined to be taken to a local hospital to be examined.

–A caller reported hearing gunshots in the vicinity of 10221 Main St., Hanoverton, at 12:04 a.m. Sunday, but the deputy did not hear or see anything out of the ordinary.

–Deputies responded to a noise complaint in the vicinity of 9074 Black Road, Center Township at 1:35 a.m. Sunday. The homeowner agreed to turn down the music.

–Deputies responded to a residential burglar alarm going off on Winona Road, Knox Township, at5:13 p.m. Friday. The home was found to be secure.

–Deputies responded to a domestic dispute at 23550 Ridge Road, West Township, at 1:34 a.m. Sunday. Both parties declined to press charges, and the deputy gave the woman there a ride to another residence.

–Deputies responded to a disturbance at 7640 Pass Lane, Hanover Township, at 4 a.m. Saturday. The parties who alleged they had been assaulted declined to press charges.

–Deputies were called to 7391 Spillway Road, Guilford Lake, at 1:22 a.m. Saturday to remove someone from the residence. The caller was advised this was a civil matter since the other two people also live there. One of the persons, Daniel B. Reed, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant stemming from a secret indictment charging him with selling marijuana (2 counts) and aggravated drug possession.

–Deputies were called to a home on McCracken Road, Salem Township, on Friday about a teenager who may be a victim of child abuse. Children Services was called and removed three youths from the home.

–Rebecca L. Althouse of Winona was cited for running a stop sign after she collided with a vehicle operated by Robert M. Brodzinski of Sebring at the intersection of Winona Road and 12th Street in Knox Township at midnight Saturday.

–A resident of Roller Coaster Road, Elkrun Township, reported June 16 he dropped his vehicle off at a repair shop and and it had yet to be returned.

–A woman who lives in Roseland Commons apartments in Center Township called Friday to say her neighbor yelled at her and wanted to fight them.

–A deputy was called to 40566 state Route 344, Fairfield Township, about a child custody dispute at 8:44 p.m. Wednesday.

–A deputy was called to 6331 Millrock Road, Middleton Township, on Wednesday about someone by the name of JD saying they were going to come to the caller’s house. Deputies checked the area but did not see anyone about.

–Deputies were called to the county Career and Technical Center at 12:40 p.m. Saturday by a man who said he swallowed 45 seroquel pills after buying them from a guy named Wilbert for $20 at the train station on South Market Street in Lisbon. The deputy remained until an ambulance arrived to transport the man to a local hospital.

–Deputies were called to 18395 state Route 644, Washington Township, in regard to possible trespassers at 11:48 p.m. Friday. The caller said she could hear voices coming from the woods outside her home and she saw teenagers running through her property. Deputies checked the area but did not find anyone.

Lisbon

–Aaron J. Smith, 27, of Newell, W.Va., was cited for improper backing after he backed into a parked car belonging to Elizabeth M. Bragg of Rogers on Maple Street at 1:28 p.m. Saturday.

Highway Patrol

— Blaze Alexander Chamberlain, 22, East Palestine, was eastbound on state Route 558 in Salem Township at 2:38 a.m. Wednesday and went off the right side into a trash can, a bush, planter trees, an embankment and a body of water. He was cited for failure to control and OVI and taken to the Salem hospital with minor injuries.

— Donald A. Hormell, 28, Rootstown, was northbound on state Route 45 in Salem Township at 9:59 p.m. Friday and went off the right side into a ditch and an embankment. He was cited for failure to control and taken to the Salem hospital with possible injuries.

— A vehicle owned by Loretta Davis, Leetonia, was northbound on Cunningham Road in Salem at 12:46 p.m. June 14 and went off the right side into a mailbox. Troopers are still attempting to identify the driver.

— Denise K. Eberling, 49, Salem, and Alissa Dawnavan Pugh, 17, Sebring, were eastbound on U.S. 62 in Knox Township at 1:14 p.m. Thursday and Pugh struck Eberling from behind. Pugh was cited for improper backing .

— Lana Judy, 77, Hanoverton, was southbound on Wood Dale Drive in Hanover Township at 5:14 a.m. June 17 and a tree fell on the roof of her vehicle.

— Brenda G. Blosser, 65, Wellsville, was northbound on state Route 45 in Madison Township at 6:07 a.m. Saturday and hit a deer.

— Johnathon Ralph Hostetter, 19, East Palestine, and John S. Petcovic, 64, Negley, were westbound on state Route 154 in Elkrun Township at 9:25 a.m. Friday and Hostetter attempted to turn into a private drive and Petcovic swerved to avoid a rear end collision and struck Hostetter on the side. No citations were issued due to both being at fault.

— Xavier Ogwin, 25, Youngstown, and Neil Alan Toalston, 25, Alliance, were northbound on state Route 11 in Fairfield Township at 2:42 a.m. June 15 and Toalston struck Ogwin from behind. Toalston was cited for assured clear distance and hit/skip.

— Kendyl Rae Daggy, 17, East Rochester, was northbound on Stroup Road in Hanover Township at 7:40 a.m. Saturday and went off the right side into a tree. She was cited for failure to control.

Columbiana

— An unoccupied vehicle driven by Crystal Burkey, age and address not listed, was struck by a car decide by Jody Schwartz, age and address not listed, at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the Ace Hardware parking lot.

— Police were called to a Blueberry Drive home at 1:05 a.m. Friday for a report of a home invasion in progress. Two men were detained and the homeowners opted not to press charges.

— Paul N. Schwartz, 25, Rogers, was cited for failure to reinstate following a traffic stop on West Park Avenue at 10:37 p.m. Thursday.

East Liverpool

–Rebecca Wylie and Michael Snyder, unknown addresses, were arrested at 8:54 p.m. Thursday in the area of Dewey Avenue for possession of marijuana, after an undercover officer witnessed a hand-to-hand drug transaction with another individual and a traffic stop was initiated on their car, where a lock bog containing drugs and paraphernalia was recovered.

— A reckless all-white sedan was reported at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the area of Orchard Grove and the Northside Church.

— Police responded to a tree that had fell on a car on River Road and displaced power lines at 4:55 p.m. Friday.
