Salem

— City police made negative contact with a dog at large reported around 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of North Union.

— Barking dog complaints were investigated Saturday at 6:31 p.m. in the 500 block of Granite Avenue and at 8:01 p.m. in the 900 block of Jones Drive.

— Officers responded at 6:50 p.m. Saturday to the area of Buckeye Circle and West 14th Street to investigate a complaint about two illegally parked vehicles on the roadway.

— Unattended fires were investigated at 7:04 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Franklin Avenue and 8:54 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Ohio Avenue.

— Richard T. Morgan, of Southeast Boulevard, was arrested at 9:15 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of East State Street on charges of OVI, endangering children and failure to obey a traffic control device. After a stop for the alleged moving violation, an officer allegedly noted the odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle’s driver, who also had been transporting a juvenile passenger.

— A criminal mischief report ws filed at 10:46 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Walnut Street after a caller found her vehicle had been egged.

— An unidentified subject who had been selling merchandise out of his box truck at 3:11 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of East Third Street was told not to do so without possessing the proper city permits.
