Police acting on numerous complaints from citizens about an Avondale Street residence in East Liverpool ended up arresting a known felon with a firearm and seizing multiple packages of narcotics, drug paraphernalia and cash after executing a search warrant early Saturday, according to the department’s Facebook page. City police had begun surveillance at the residence and made entry after seeing the man inside the home armed with a gun. The man, who was not identified in the Facebook post, was taken into custody. During the arrest, officers saw the drug paraphernalia and were able to secure a search warrant in the middle of the night for a subsequent search of the property. During the search, they found mulitple packages of narcotics, some packaged for sale, along with the paraphernalia and money. No other information was available.
