County Sheriff

— Paul W. Davis Sr, 74, Walnut Ridge Road, Washington Township, reported at 9:03 a.m. Tuesday someone destroyed his mailbox overnight, possibly with a baseball bat.

— Denver Delo, Stateline Road, Negley, reported at 1:12 p.m. Monday someone took the back license plate from his 2003 Chevy S-10 while it was parked at the bottom of his driveway. The plate had been parked there for some time, because he has not been driving it. He noticed the plate missing on Saturday.

— Deputies responded at 1:59 p.m. Saturday to an alarm at XL Sand and Gravel, Route 170, Negley, but the doors were found to be secure and no one was around.

— William Stock, state Route 45, Lisbon, reported at 1:10 p.m. Friday someone damaged his 2016 Ford F-250 while it was parked in front of his home for the past three days. The rear windshield was broken and he had found a ball bearing in the driveway near the truck. It appeared an object, possibly the ball bearing, had struck the edge of the window, ricocheted upward and caused a small dent and paint chip on the edge of the window frame.

— A suspicious vehicle was reported at 10:20 p.m. Friday in the area of state Route 39 and 10th Street Extension in Yellow Creek Township. Deputies found the vehicle and spoke to the driver, who said he and his two children were playing Pokemon.

— Steven D. Scott, Wallace Avenue, Alliance, reported at 4:04 p.m. Monday his ex-girlfriend has been harassing him in person and by phone.

— Marie Graham asked deputies to check on her relative, Joseph Ammon, who has been ill and she was unable to reach him. Deputies went to Ammon’s Jackman Road address in Middleton Township and he answered the door. He was reunited with his family.

— An abandoned vehicle was reported in the area of the boat ramp off Spring Valley Road at 3:32 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle was found to belong to Charles Coulter, who lives in Jefferson County. Deputies learned the vehicle was disabled and the owner would be removing it in a few days.

Columbiana

— The Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home on South Elm Street reported at 9:41 a.m. Monday a window was possibly shot with a BB gun.

— Taylor Morrison, Fourth Street, Salem, reported at 10:22 a.m. Monday the rear-window of her vehicle was broken out on East Park.

— Jennifer Whaley, South Egypt Road, Salem, reported at 9 p.m. Monday money and prescription medication was taken from her unlocked vehicle on Maplewood Drive.

— Someone reported at 1:44 p.m. Monday a window had been damaged in the last week or two from Electronics 123 on East Park Avenue.

— Vicki Lynn Ritterspach reported at 11:22 a.m. Monday someone had broken into the garage behind a business on South Main Street. Nothing was reported missing.

— Someone reported at 10:42 a.m. Monday a window was damaged at the office building of Flynn’s Auto Group on South Main Street.

— DRB Properties, state Route 7, reported at 10:24 a.m. Monday someone had damaged one of the windows at the Edward Jones business on South Main Street.

— Douglas Smith, Terra Verde Avenue, reported Monday someone stole his mailbox during the night.

— A 10-day zoning violation warning was sent to Elite Welding on Tuesday for a vehicle on state Route 14 that had expired plates.

— Police found two inoperable vehicles at 350 Quincy Ave. Thursday and sent a 10-day zoning violating warning to the owner.

East Palestine

— Police from Aliquippa, Pa. requested at 2:25 p.m. Friday local police speak with a North Sumner Street resident regarding a gun the Pennsylvania department had taken from a suspect and it was believed to be stolen. The gun was registered to the East Palestine resident but was not entered as stolen. The resident told police that he had a gun like the one described but it was secured inside his vehicle. When checked it was found that the gun was missing. Police told the man to contact Aliquippa police.

— Police were called to an East Highland Avenue home at 11:36 a.m. Saturday for a report of a theft. The matter is under investigation.

— Police were called to village park at 5:46 p.m. Saturday for a report of an assault. The matter is under investigation but charges are expected against one of the children involved.

— Police were called to the old Dodge dealership on North Market at 9:15 p.m. Saturday for a report of suspicious vehicles. The owners of the vehicles were told to move them.

— Police were called to a North Sumner home at 10:33 p.m. Saturday for a report of a porch fire. Police found the fire had already been extinguished before police and East Palestine firefighters arrived. It was found the fire had started from a cigarette.

— Police were called to an East North Avenue home at 10:41 p.m. Saturday for a report of a suspicious person knocking on the window. Police checked the area but found no one.

— Police arrested Tiffany Stiles, 33, address not listed, and Michael Nagel, 32, address not listed, during a traffic stop on North Market Street at 2 a.m. Sunday. Stiles was arrested for having a concealed weapon/knife in her vehicle that was accessible to the operator or passengers, and Nagel was arrested for obstructing official business and resisting arrest.

— Police charged Marcus Stanley, 22, address not listed, for driving under suspension and possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on East North Avenue at 12:53 p.m. Sunday. Stanley was also charged with seat belt.

— Police were called to a West Martin Street home at 9:38 a.m. Monday for a medical emergency. Police stood by until EMS arrived.

— Police were called to Meadowview Apartments on South Washington Street at 4:56 p.m. Monday for a report of a disturbance.

East Liverpool

— An officer reported seeing a vehicle on West Eighth Street with darkly tinted windows that traveled the wrong way up a one-way street, and he initiated a traffic stop, during which he could smell marijuana. City K-9 officers Chad Tatgenhorst and Ivo were called to the scene, and while awaiting them, the officer reported seeing front seat passenger Chantell Scott reaching into his pockets even though told multiple times to to stop. According to reports, the officer knew Scott from a previous drug raid after which he was convicted of being in possession of a stolen gun. The officer conducted a pat down search of Scott and reported feeling a hard object near his rear end not consistent with human anatomy. Scott reached into his pants and handed the officer a bag containing rock-like substances, and the officer found more of the substance near the seat and console of the vehicle. In conducting a pat down search of driver Raymond Shaw, officers also found a hard object near his rear end which he pulled out after trying to push it further up, according to reports. They reported finding multiple bags of drugs and numerous cell phones in the vehicle. Scott and Shaw were both charged with obstructing official business, while Shaw was charged with the tinted windows, one-way street and possession of marijuana.

— After stopping a vehicle for failure to yield on state Route 11, an officer reported the driver, Veronica M. Adams, 40, seemed extremely nervous and was asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, which she denied. The officer learned Adams had had a previous drug offense in 2017 and called for the K-9 team. Officer Ivo reportedly alerted on the vehicle. When Adams was patted down, an officer reported finding a glass crack pipe in her sock. She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

— An elderly man was found lying in a ditch on Ephraim Street, due to a medical condition, and he was taken by Lifeteam ambulance to the emergency room.

— Officers responded to Wilbert Avenue for a suicidal female, who said she had been having such thoughts and wanted to go to the hospital. She was transported.

— Called to East Liverpool City Hospital to remove a man upset with staff not giving him updates on his girlfriend in the intensive care unit, officers spoke with him and calmed him down. He was permitted to stay.

— A caller reported a strong smell of marijuana at Heights Manor on North Shady Lane, but officers checked the specific apartment and found no such odor, although they detected a faint odor in the hallway.

— Terry W. Call, Riverview Towers, reported someone entered his apartment and took his wallet and other items.

— John A. Speece reported he has a gentleman’s agreement with the owner of the Cove Lounge on Dresden to use the property to store his equipment and said some people have been taking wood, rail ties and logs from the property. He was advised to see the law director.

— Destiny M. Robinson, 19, W. Fifth Street, reported her ex-boyfriend has been calling and harassing her.

— Brian P. Conto, 26, W. Fifth Street, reported someone tried to catch his house on fire, with a trail of gasoline from the door, down the front steps to the sidewalk. He was able to extinguish the fire. Conto told police he has no enemies and could think of no one who would do this. The fire department was on the scene for an arson probe.

St. Clair Township

— An officer on patrol was notified by a drug task force officer of a male and female inside the Bob Evans restaurant, both known heroin addicts, who were almost unable to walk. They left in a Jeep, which the officer located in the Dunham’s Plaza near JoAnn Fabrics. The male, not identified in reports, was in the passenger seat with the female driver, Ashley B. Brown, 33, no address listed, slumped over his lap. Both had pinpoint pupils but said they were OK, and although an ambulance was summoned, reports did not indicate any medical attention was needed. Brown had an outstanding warrant out of Washington County and was charged as a fugitive from justice and taken into custody.

— Angela A. Merriman, Duke Road, reported someone using her identity. No other details were reported.

— Officers are investigating an incident at Cashland on St. Clair Avenue involving a woman who reportedly brought in a compressor and a necklace that had been reported stolen in Liverpool Township and exchanged them for cash. Although the report indicated the woman was arrested, the specific charge was not reported.

— Robert Miller, Echo Dell Road, reported his bank account used to make online purchases.

— Jamie Smith, 47, state Route 267, reported the pool to her pump was taken and the side of the pool was broken. She told officers she just got divorced and is not living in the house, which is vacant at this time.

— Officers responded to reports of a domestic dispute on Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road, where Lindsay Ketchum said she and MIchael Anderson are expecting a baby and had argued about money but there was no physical violence. Anderson told officers he was leaving and bumped another vehicle. Ketchum was going to her mother’s for the night.

Lisbon

— Responded to a traffic accident on state Route 11 south of the Lisbon exit at 8:08 a.m. Tuesday.

West Point

— Called to a traffic accident on state Route 11 at the West Point exit ramp at 12:58 p.m. Tuesday.
