Highway Patrol

— James W. Blaschak, 19, Clark Avenue, Wellsville, was northbound in the southbound lane of state Route 11 at 5:45 a.m. Sunday and went off the east side into a ditch. He was cited for failure to control and OVI.

— Joshua Scott Paul Andrews, 19, Highland Avenue, Salem, and John A. Flask Jr., 34, state Route 558, Leetonia, were southbound on state Route 45 in Salem Township at 3:55 p.m. Friday and Flask stopped to turn left and was rear-ended by Andrews. Andrews was cited for assured clear distance.

— Michael H. Wood, 55, North Park Circle, East Liverpool, was southeastbound on Bye Road in Unity Township at 9:45 a.m. Friday and went off the right side into a ditch. He was cited for failure to control.

— Douglas E. Gill, 36, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, was southbound on state Route 45 in Madison Township at 8:40 a.m. Friday and Tristan E. Frank, 18, McCormick Road, Salineville, and both took evasive action to avoid a dog in the road and struck each other. Both were found to be at fault and no citations were issued. Gill and his passenger, Rebecca Gill, 67, Meadville, Pa., were both taken to ELCH with possible injuries.

County Sheriff

— A deputy was called to Y&O Road near Dunn Road at 5:10 p.m. Friday for a report of a man with medical problems. The deputy spoke with the man, who appeared to be stable but continued using an identity that was not his. St. Clair Township police assisted with identifying the man as a Cincinnati resident and he said he was walking home. Police dropped him off at the county line.

— A deputy was called to State Line Tavern at 11:16 p.m. Saturday and spoke to Terry Berresford, who said that he threw Josh Andrews and three other people out of the tavern. As he was leaving on his bike, Andrews hit Berresford’s passenger side front door.

— A deputy was called to 18th Street Heights, Wellsville, for a report that the landlord recently had some tenants move out and the new tenant found some items associated with drugs in the residence. The items were collected and disposed of.

— Deputies were called to a home on Plymouth Street in Hanoverton at 5:14 p.m. Friday for a report of some type of medical call. At the home a deputy spoke with a man who said that his wife recently had surgery on her brain and was not responding well to the medication. Deputies assisted KLG with getting the combative woman into the ambulance at which point she had to be restrained. She was taken to the SRMC.

— Deputies were called to the Beaver Creek Campground on Leslie Road at 10:14 p.m. Friday for a report of a domestic dispute. While en route deputies were advised that the highway patrol was sending troopers to the call. The deputies assisted the patrol at the scene.

– A deputy reported witnessing at vehicle crash on state Route 517 in Lisbon at 7:51 p.m. Friday. The crash was handled by the highway patrol.

— A deputy was called to a home on McHenry Street in Madison Township at 3:36 p.m. Saturday for man with a medical issue. It was found that the man was suffering from Alzheimer’s and he was taken to ELCH.

— A deputy patrolling the area of Highlandtown Lake near Steubenville Pike came across an occupied Ford Mustang in the parking lot around 3 a.m. Saturday. A man was slumped over in the driver’s seat. The man was awoken by the deputy and identified as Russell Stover, Y&O Road. Stover told the deputy he was sleeping in the vehicle and admitted to having some beer. The deputy saw a marijuana pipe sitting on the center console and cited Stover for having the pipe. He was not cited for OVI due to the car being off and the keys not in the ignition. The deputy searched the rest of the vehicle and found nothing else. Stover was then taken home by the deputy due to being under the influence of alcohol.

— A deputy was called to a home on Metz Road in Fairfield Township at 8:44 p.m. Friday for a report of a domestic. The deputy spoke with a woman who said she and her sister got into an argument. Neither woman wished to filed charges and one was taken to the Dutch Village Inn for the night.

Lisbon

— Police were called to a North Market Street apartment at 10:32 a.m. Thursday and spoke with Jacob Brickley, who said that he feels threatened by a man he knows but would not go into detail on how or why. He also said the man owes him money.

— The Save-A-Lot manager reported at 2 p.m. Thursday that a man that lives behind the store has been parking in the delivery area and it was keeping the trucks from being able to deliver merchandise.

— Police were called to a home on East Washington Street at 7 p.m. Thursday for a report of possible narcotics. Police spoke with a man who said he found a suboxone wrapper and he was afraid his children would get hold of it. Police disposed of the empty wrapper.

— Police were called to a traffic crash on North Jefferson Street at 11:11 a.m. Friday. Janice Wylie, age and address not listed, told police that she was turning left off of East Lincoln Way and Trudy Hall, age and address not listed, was pulling out of the Farmers National Bank parking lot and struck her vehicle right above the driver’s side tire causing minor damage. Hall was cited for failure to yield right of way.

East Liverpool

— A Wilbert Avenue man reported at 10:22 p.m. Tuesday several kids were making threats to damage his personal vehicle only because he chose to park his truck in the other parking section of the apartment complex. Police spoke with a group of kids who denied making any threats.

— Police checked on a noise complaint at a Center Street home at 9:41 p.m. Tuesday but heard no loud music.

St. Clair Township

— William S. White, 58, Summerset Road, East Liverpool, was westbound on Irish Ridge Road at 12:20 p.m. Thursday and went off the right side then entered a yard and struck a wooden fence, cement furniture and a brick a wall. He was taken to the East Liverpool Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Salem

— Officers responded to the 1900 block of Maple Street at 5:41 a.m. Saturday where a resident reported hearing noises at a neighboring vacant home. The officers searched the home but found no one inside.

— A 1000 block Newgarden Avenue resident reported Saturday she had been contacted by Leetonia police in reference to someone being found in possession of a credit card belonging to her. She said she believed the theft of the card occurred at her home.

— Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 200 block of East Fourth at 12:37 p.m. Saturday and found it to be an argument regarding money. Those involved said nothing physical occurred and one of them agreed to leave.

— An East Fourth Street resident reported at 1:12 p.m. Saturday her boyfriend had left with her keys following an argument. The boyfriend said the keys were still at the home.

— Officers responded to a 300 block Fair Avenue home at 1:44 p.m. Saturday where the resident reported being harassed by someone he knows.

— Olivia M. Bowman, 18, no address listed, was charged with theft after an alleged shoplifting at a 2800 block East State Street at 3:58 p.m. Saturday.

— A Lisbon resident reported Saturday she and her husband had found a home in the 500 block of East Eighth Street on Craig’s List and after meeting with the landlord, gave him a check deposit. She said they later decided not to rent the home, but the landlord would not return their deposit, saying he had already cashed it. The landlord told officers that the complainant threatened to vandalize the home.

— An officer responded to a 300 block Woodland Avenue home at 4:52 p.m. Saturday where the resident reported someone had damaged his garden.

— Officers responded to a 500 block Columbia Street home at 4:59 p.m. Saturday where a woman reported staying with her boyfriend the prior night and he would not return some of her property. The officers spoke with the boyfriend’s mother who returned the property.

— Officers responded to a 900 block West Wilson Street home at 5:22 p.m. Saturday where the resident reported her child would not listen to her. She was advised how to file unruly charges.

— An officer responded with the fire department to a report of a large amount of smoke coming from the rear of a 700 block Newgarden Avenue home at 6:50 p.m. Saturday. The homeowner was advised to extinguish the fire.

— An officer responded to a 400 block home at 7:47 p.m. Saturday where the resident reported someone had taken her daughter’s toy kitchen set and put it in the alley behind the residence.

— An officer responded to an 800 block West State Street at 7:53 p.m. Saturday where an employee reported a suspicious van had been parked in the employee lot for several hours. The van left before the officer arrived.

— Officers responded to a neighbor dispute in the 400 block of Ohio Avenue at 8:48 p.m. Saturday and found it was in reference to a child’s toy. both individuals involved were told to stay away from each other.

— Officers responded with medical personnel to a 1400 block 10th Street home at 9:37 p.m. Saturday where a young child had reportedly ingested several prescription pills. The child was taken to SRMC and the incident forward to Children Services.

— Rebecca Mae Stone, 24, Minerva, was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device and no driver’s license following a traffic stop at 10:40 p.m. Saturday at East Pershing Street and Butcher Road. She was taken to SRMC.

— An officer responded to a 600 block Vine Avenue home at 10:51 p.m. Saturday in reference to a noise complaint and found that a small child was running around the upstairs apartment.

— Jesse J. Slocum, 20, West 14th Street, Salem, was charged with underage consumption after officers responded to a 500 block South Broadway business at 11:59 p.m. Saturday where the bartender refused to serve him and a fight ensued. Medical personnel responded but those involved refused treatment.

— Brandie N. Poynter, 23, South Union Avenue, Salem, was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated after an officer at 1:06 a.m. Sunday saw her run aggressively toward someone in the 500 block of South Broadway and begin striking the window of the person’s vehicle.

West Point

— Firefighters were called to a two-car accident with multiple injuries near state Route 45 going south toward Wellsville at 8:50 a.m. Friday.

— Firefighters were called to a McHenry Road home at 3:53 p.m. Saturday for a report of a 78-year-old man having a manic episode.

— Firefighters from both Lisbon and West Point were called to a vehicle accident with entrapment and one vehicle on fire on state Route 517 near Davner Road at 7:56 p.m. Friday.
