County Sheriff

— A Mick Road mother reported at 4:56 p.m. Friday she had an argument with her 17-year-old daughter and then was assaulted by her. The teen was transported to the Tobin Center and cited into juvenile court on a domestic violence citation.

Highway Patrol

— William R. Beeson, 18, state Route 9, Salem, was eastbound on Speidel Road at 7:25 p.m. on Jan. 7 when he reportedly lost control, crossed the center line, driving first off the left side of the road and then off the right side, before striking a ditch and overturning. Beeson, who was uninjured, was cited with failure to maintain reasonable control.

— Deborah S. Borg, 52, Lisbon Road, Lisbon, was southbound on state Route 164 in Fairfield Township at 2:18 a.m. Thursday when she swerved to miss a deer and went off the right side of the road, striking a ditch, culvert and mailbox and ending up back in the ditch. She was uninjured and cited with failure to maintain reasonable control.

— Joyce L. Stanley, 64, South Market Street, East Palestine, was northbound on state Route 165 in Unity Township at 6:34 a.m. Wednesday when she drove off the right side of the roadway in icy conditions, striking an embankment. Stanley was not injured. She was cited with failure to control.

— Adria Morgan Virden, 21, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, was westbound on state Route 558 in Salem Township at 5:39 a.m. Wednesday when she went off the left side of the roadway, striking a bridge railing and spinning out on ice. She was transported by Leetonia EMS to SRMC with possible injuries. Virden was cited with failure to maintain reasonable control.

— Jim A. Barr, 44, St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, was northbound on state Route 11 at 4:31 a.m. Wednesday, when he drove off the left side of the roadway, spinning out and striking a guardrail. He was uninjured and cited with failure to maintain reasonable control.

–Brian Keith Madden, 50, Malvern, was southbound on Lowmiller Road near Sandy Creek Road in West Township at 12:34 a.m. Wednesday when he swerved to miss a deer and drove off the right side of the road, striking a ditch. Madden was cited with failure to maintain reasonable control and was uninjured.

— Gary A. White Jr., 26, Youngstown, was southbound on Depot Road at 2 a.m. Jan. 8 when he went off the right side of the road into a ditch, went up an embankment and airborne before landing in a field and overturning. White and his passengers, Finley Lee Croyle II, 29, Aetna Street, Salem, and Chelsea Marie McGuire, 23, Youngstown, all fled and all reportedly had minor injuries. Croyle went to SRMC for treatment. The vehicle’s owner, Danielle Delp, reportedly planned to file a theft charge against White. Alcohol use is suspected, according to the report.

— Renee L. Lamp, 64, Foundry Hill Road, Summitville, was southwestbound on Foundry Hill Road in Franklin Township at 6:30 p.m. Thursday when she drove into a current of water near a bridge. The water carried the vehicle off the left side of the roadway and her vehicle was half submerged. She was uninjured.

— Randy M. Faith, 52, state Route 46, New Waterford, was northbound on state Route 7 in Middleton Township at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday when he reportedly passed an ODOT plow truck and went off the right side of the road. He struck a speed limit sign, but was uninjured. Faith was cited with failure to maintain reasonable control.

— Adam P. Leheny, 23, Simmons Street, East Liverpool, was eastbound on state Route 154 in Middleton Township at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday when he went off the left side of the road, striking a fence and a fence post. Leheny was uninjured, but cited with failure to maintain reasonable control.

— Ethan C. Ruffner, 26, Union Ridge Road, Negley, was westbound on state Route 154 at 8 a.m. Tuesday when he went off the left side of the road and struck a guardrail. He was not cited and uninjured.

Lisbon

— Paul Mindek of Seven Seventeen Credit Union reported at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday the bank has possession of a house at 126 Grandview St., Lisbon, and it is believed the previous owner, Shawn Laughlin, damaged the house and the porch. Laughlin was told when he was evicted not to take anything attached to the house. The porch has been torn off with some of the boards thrown around and laying in a burn pile. The air conditioning unit was taken from the back of the house. A rear basement door was forced open and both the upper kitchen cabinets and a bathroom vanity have been taken. The wires to the breaker box were cut and the breakers removed. The hot water heater was also taken. Laughlin, 39, Metz Road, Columbiana, has been charged with criminal trespassing and criminal mischief.

Columbiana

— Cathi J. Wardle, 52, state Route 7, Columbiana, reportedly backed into a parked vehicle in the Dollar General parking lot at 10:27 a.m. Thursday.

— Whispering Pines Village reported two of their residents, Sarah Tipton and E. Irene Herman, have alerted personnel of items missing from their rooms.

— Ken Engle, a NAPA employee, reported at 5:36 p.m. Thursday that at some point while he was working someone struck the mirror on his vehicle.

— Heather Blazina, no address listed, reported at 6:47 p.m. Thursday she had been sitting in her vehicle on South Main Street when a man got into the vehicle, said “what’s up” and then got out and left. Police found Steven Bowles, who said he mistook the woman from someone else.

— Dairy Queen, East Park Avenue, reported at 7:26 p.m. Thursday a customer had been inside the store for several hours and they wished to have him removed. Police gave Samuel Earich of Salineville a ride to the police department, where he could wait for a ride home.

Salem

— Michael Hover, 26, of 218 Fair Ave., was taken into custody by adult probation personnel at his residence at 9:12 a.m. Friday for violating his parole. Officers had responded there with adult probation  personnel looking for Hover. A female at the residence, Sarah Sines, 33, of 218 Fair Ave., was taken into custody on a warrant from Leetonia Police for failure to appear on a speeding charge. Leetonia Police came and picked her up.

— A parking ticket was placed on a vehicle parked on the wrong side of the street in the 400 block of East State Street at 8:42 a.m. Friday.

— A domestic dispute was reported at 3:36 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of West Third Street where a woman said she could hear her neighbors yelling at each other. Officers were unable to make contact with them and could not hear any noise coming from the apartment. Police had been called to the same residence by the same woman at 2:58 a.m. when she alleged she could hear the neighbors yelling at each other. Officers had spoken to one of the neighbors who said she was watching television and was the only one awake. She said she would turn the television down.

— Loud music was reported at 3:09 a.m. Friday in the 1000 block of East Fourth Street where police found a vehicle parked in a driveway with several people sitting inside the vehicle. The owner said he had been playing the  music loudly before police arrived. He was told to keep it down.

— Police were called at 10:43 p.m. Thursday to the 800 block of Summit Street for a minor verbal dispute between roommates. All parties said no threats occurred, just arguing about pets in the home.

— An officer on patrol in the 100 block of Jennings Avenue at 9:16 p.m. Thursday noticed a tractor trailer parked in the road with hazard lights on. Employees of a nearby business said they were dropping off a shipment. The driver moved the vehicle so it was no longer blocking the road while being unloaded.

— An interior motion alarm was reported at 9 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of the Salem Parkway, but the exterior of the building was found secure.

— A  man came to the police station at 6:14 p.m. Thursday to report a domestic that took place in the 100 block of West Fifth Street. He said his juvenile brother attacked him when he went home to grab his belongings. The incident is under investigation.

— Officers were flagged down at 4:53 p.m. Thursday in the 2400 block of East Pershing Street and advised of a small female juvenile playing in the street on Cunningham Road. While enroute to Cunningham Road, officers were flagged down by the girl’s father who said his daughter took off while they were shopping at Walmart. Officers followed him down Cunningham Road and were able to locate the girl. She was placed safely in her father’s vehicle.

— A large amount of water was reported on the road in the area of West Wilson Street and the railroad crossing at 2:58 p.m. Thursday. The rain had stopped so the thought was that the water would recede.

— A postal worker at 4:52 p.m. Thursday found a woman’s wallet inside a collection container. Contact was attempted with the owner and the item was placed in the police lost and found.

— Police responded to the 300 block of East 4th Street at 6:36 p.m. Friday for a report of domestic fight where the suspect had left. The complainant/victim said that over the past several days her boyfriend and the father of her children has been physically abusing her. She was allegedly punched all over her body and had objects thrown at her. Police observed multiple injuries on her and photos were taken. The complainant said they had an argument just prior to her calling the police and he threw a cell phone at her. It hit their 1-year-old daughter whom she was holding. Police observed a red mark on her left shoulder and took photos and arrested Stephen W. Bell, 378-1/2 E. Fourth, after locating him in the 100 block of Rose Avenue He was charged him with domestic violence, felony fourth degree due to a domestic violence conviction in 2016, child endangering and also for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear for domestic violence. He was taken to the county jail.

— At 9:57 p.m. Friday, police served an outstanding warrant on Timothy Tomor, 664 East Sixth Street, No;. 4, for failure to appear. He was taken to the county jail.

— At 12:19 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Drive  No. 29, to check for a person with an outstanding warrant and had no contact with the individual.

— At 12:36 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 800 block of South Lundy Avenue regarding a report of domestic complaint. The complainant advised of an argument with her boyfriend over the volume of the television. He began to damage it and backed her into a corner. He said he was trying to sleep and was upset over the noise. Both said there was no physical violence and they were advised to stay away from each other for the night.

— At 1:39 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 400 block of West State Street for a dumpster fire that was extinguished by the Salem Fire Department. A man saw said that approximately a half hour before he saw a man walk away from the dumpster. He was tall and wearing dark clothing and walked westbound on Pershing Street. Police checked the area and police were unable to locate anyone matching the description.

— Police responded to the 600 block of East Fifth Street at 1:58 a.m. Saturday for a well-being check and found everything was OK.

— At 2:56 p.m. Saturday, police received an anonymous call for an intoxicated driver heading westbound toward the city from U.S. 62. Perry Township. Police made a traffic stop at the bypass and police stood by.

— Police responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 5:45 p.m. Friday but were unable to locate a person going through a parking lot yelling that he was upset.
