East Liverpool Fawcett Community Foundation awards $25,002 in community grants

EAST LIVERPOOL — The East Liverpool Fawcett Community Foundation announced the distribution of $25,002 in grant funding to 19 local organizations during its annual meeting held Nov. 19 at the law offices of Foundation Secretary Jackman S. Vodrey.

A moment of silence was held during the meeting to honor the recent passing of longtime community supporters Gene Toot and Frank Dawson, both recognized for their dedicated service to the East Liverpool area.

Board members include: Foundation President Dr. Marc D. Hoffrichter presided over the meeting. Officers and directors include Burl D. Warrick, Jackman S. Vodrey, Robert J. Gardner, J. David Buzzard, Teresa L. Crawford, Joan A. Dodds, Steven K. Hager, Nancy J. Hanselman, Mario H. Hernandez, Mary Ann Hogue, Pastor Larry R. Rose, and Robin J. Tokorcheck.

This year, funding was awarded to the following organizations:

Cub Scout Pack 2043 – $1,530

East Liverpool Beautification Society – $2,210

East Liverpool High School Band – $2,455

East Liverpool High School Choir – $1,695

East Liverpool High School French Club – $955

East Liverpool High School Robotics – $850

East Liverpool High School Thespian Troupe #319 – $955

East Liverpool Junior High Robotics Club – $1,025

East Liverpool Historical Society – $1,670

Museum of Ceramics Foundation – $1,710

Red Pride Band Boosters (Beaver Local) – $950

United Way of Southern Columbiana County – $1,365

Upper Ohio Valley Museum & Learning Center at the Lou Holtz Hall of Fame – $1,775

The Foundation encourages community members to support its mission. Annual memberships are available for $10, and lifetime memberships may be purchased for a one-time $500 contribution. Donations may be sent to ELFCF, P.O. Box 458, East Liverpool, OH 43920.

Nonprofit organizations with valid 501(c)(3) status may apply for next year’s grant cycle by July 31, 2026. Applications must be submitted online at www.TheFawcettFoundation.com.
