EAST LIVERPOOL –Justin Barrett (age and address not provided) was detained Wednesday morning prior to the execution of a search warrant by the Columbiana County Drug Task Force (DTF), assisted by the East Liverpool Police Department.

The current address for Barrett has not been confirmed as his previous known residence on Sophia Street was condemned by the during a prior search warrant at that location.

The warrant for a Columbiana County Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) apartment located at 1618 Park Ave., East Liverpool,resulted in DTF officers uncovering drug residue suspected to be from crack cocaine and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking, according to DTF Director Jesse Smith.

Barrett, who had previously trespassed from CMHA property, was charged and arrested for criminal trespass. Additional charges against him are pending Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) lab results.
